Red Skys and Royal CardsTwenty minutes in the air and not a sign of Sky on campus and neither Tao nor Lay had any luck in locating her. It was like she was being shielded from us searching for her. She was in a dead zone where not even our double bond was useful for finding her. It was like she just vanished.
At a time like this Luhan would be really quite useful. Pushing myself faster I flew back to the house to speak with the others about all of this, there had to be another way to find her. Maybe some of the other boys had smartened up and could help out as well, just the three of us we couldn’t do very much unfortunately.
“Anything?” I called as my feet hit the solid earth of the front walkway. Lay got up from the spot he had taken up on the stairs.
“Nothing Hyung.” He shook his head. “Tao and I have tired everything, even combining our strength but there is just no sign of her anywhere.”
“And Luhan, is he close to readjusting yet?” I asked fearing the answer I was going to get.
“No, it will be at least another day before any of them are close to adjusting.” Lay said dejectedly. “Xiumin’s close though, I can see him readjusted my morning but the others will be a little longer.”
Nodding the two of us went around back to find Tao again. He was still sitting under the tree I left him, eyes closed and an unpleasing look on his face. Lay and I took seats beside him so we formed a small triangle.
Tao opened his eyes and looked at the two of us. His body stayed just as stiff as it had been while he was concentrating as he eyed the two of us. “Did you find her?” He asked as he shut his eyes once again.
“Not yet, we were hooping you had some news.” Lay spoke up and old the younger.
Tao sighed, “No matter how hard I search I can’t find her anywhere. We can try searching as a group, it might help if we used our power combined but there are still no results guaranteed.”
It was worth a shot. Maybe we could find her if we all pooled our power together and searched as a group. While the three of us couldn’t do much by ourselves and it wouldn’t be much different combined it was still better than nothing. If we only had the three of us to do this then there wasn’t much use in wishing for more.
Lay, Tao and I all know that when we do this we stay out of each other’s heads. We don’t go looking through each other’s memories and we stay out of things that don’t concern us. This is all we have left to try and find her and we are out of options now this is the last thing left to do.
“Let’s do it.” I said as I opened my walls and opened my mind searching for the two of them. I shut my eyes and waited for us to connect before we did anything.
It only took a few moments before I felt both Tao and Lay connect with myself within our minds. It wasn’t a feeling I like all too much but if it was going to find us Sky then I could live with it for a little while. This had better work or I can’t see anything working. Without the others this is all we can do, it’s our last option
Without Luhan we had no way of communicating beyond the feelings we give off and the mutual thoughts we have. We didn’t need to verbally communicate what we needed to do, it was as simple as finding the connection to Sky we all shared grabbing onto it and searching.
While our double bond with her is strong, stronger than I though possible something about it was off. Something wasn’t quite right. Her bond should be stronger than what I’m feeling; hell I should be able to feel her but I’m not getting anything. She was being blocked and it clearly wasn’t done by herself.
She wasn’t blocking us out; I’ve felt what that is like when she is doing that to us and this was nothing like that. While I may be wrong I can’t see any reason why I’m not. Sky blocking us doesn’t feel like this so there has to be something else blocking us from finding and feeling her. I know for a fact that learning what is causing this will not please me.
We all pulled back at the same time and shut our walls once again. Silently cursing we looked between us, questions on what to do filling the space between us. That was all we could do to, we have tried everything I our power to find her but she has vanished. She’s somewhere that we can’t find her with our power.
“Let’s just wait until we can sense her again. Just be patient until then.” Lay said as he leaded back and stared up at the now dark crimson sky. Tao closed his eyes once again, his frown never leaving his lips as he focused within himself. I was left to figure out what to do with no ideas on what exactly that was.
Time passed and still Sky was impossible to find. I tried many times but nothing was of any use, she was in a dead zone and nothing we did could get past it. I couldn’t give up but it might be faster if we did and wait for her to come back
