Jang Hyo Rin.

My first love. My first kiss. My first everything.

I hate her so much.

Maybe I'm overreacting. But some things hurt you so much that you can't forget.

Maybe since I was a kid back then, I exaggerate my memories. But there's one memory I can never forget.

Show and Tell.

That's when she decided we should break up.

It was also the last time I ever saw her.

Until today.

My first day as a student at Seoul High Academy.

Right after kindergarten, my parents decided to take me to America. Twelve years passed. So much had happened that I almost forgot about her. Almost.

Now it turns out that she's still here. Twelve years later and she's still here.

Surprisingly, all six of them are still here in Seoul.

And all of them attend Seoul Academy.

Choi Minho was the cool one (my best friend). The one who was naturally good at everything.

The one who caught everybody when we played tag, the one who gave me his soccer ball when mine deflated, the one who dominated the floor during show and tell.

He used to be team captain when we played hide and seek.

Now he's team captain of the soccer team.

Kim Jonghyun was the troublemaker (Man, I hated him). The only kindergartner with blond hair.

The bully, the tough guy, the one who kept kicking you during naptime.

He used to break crayons.

Now he breaks girls' hearts.

Kim Key was the umma (Why the heck did he always wear pink?!). The one all the girls swooned over since he was so nice.

The guy the teacher loved, the one who passed out animal crackers during snack time, the only one who Jonghyun got along with (surprisingly).

He used to play nice.

Now he's just a player.

Lee Taemin was the maknae (Ah, my not-biological dongsaeng). The one everybody naturally protected.

The kid who got away with everything, the one moms admired, the hardworking one who could write in cursive.

He used to work hard to not be called a kid.

Now he works hard to be treated like one.

Shim Hyun Ji was my personal stalker (She was willing to follow me to the end of the playground). The girl most of the guys liked.

The girl who rejected everyone, the girl who wouldn't leave me alone, the only girl who stomped on Jonghyun's foot.

She used to chase after me all the time.

Now she just grins and acts like she never caused me childhood trauma.

Finally, there's Jang Hyo Rin.

Jang Hyo Rin, the first girl I ever fell in love with.

She hit me where it hurt the most.

That's right.

My heart.

Plot:

When Onew comes back to Korea and finds out that his ex is also at Seoul Academy, he decides to ignore her completely. After all, she broke his heart.

After he moved away, they chatted online frequently. Then around the beginning of first grade, she just stopped contacting him.

Yup. Everything that had to do with her just made him replay bad memories.

But things get complicated.

Really complicated.

It turns out that his mom signed him up for a character building class.

The teacher observes you, gets to know you, figures out what you need help with, then gives you an assignment that's supposed to change you forever.

Too bad the teacher is a complete wacko.

He calls the assignments "missions" and insists that everybody keep their mission a secret. Or else, they fail.

Well some people get normal missions. Sign up for all the plays to overcome stage fright, etc.

But when the teacher sees Onew, one thing flashes across his mind: Love Novice.

So, he comes up with what he thinks is the perfect mission.
And when he gets his mission, Onew realizes he has the perfect chance.

To get revenge——on the girl who broke his heart then stole it for good measure.
