It Was Always You

Description

Plot:

They were just two strangers. He was a cold workaholic who gave up on love since he always got screwed over by it. She was a hopeless romantic and believed that she just needed to find her prince charming to have her own happy ending. These two strangers found themselves living under the same roof and developed a good, trustworthy friendship with one another. However, their relationship changed when he found out who she really was and needed her help. He knew their relationship would be different, but he asked her to marry him so her father would help stop his father's company from going down the drain. She was more than willing to help her friend.... until she found out who his first love was and, especially, because his first love told her that she was still in love with him.

Main Characters:

Jessica - Her step-father, Kim Sung Joo, owns a huge business in the US. However, Jessica decided to go back to Korea after she graduated from colege because she didn't want to depend on her step-father and seem like she was leeching off of him. There were many rumors as she was growing up of her mom being a golddigger. She knew that they were just jealous people, but she didn't want to add to the rumors. She wanted to be independent and earn her money through her own hard work. She never made a public appearance as the step-daughter of Kim Sung Joo so when she returned to South Korea, she was just Jessica Jung - not the step-daughter of some wealthy bussinessman. She enjoyed how the people around her viewed her just as a regular, normal girl. Guys would say she's flawless, but she knew she had one flaw - she was a hopeless romantic. She still believed in true love and happy endings.

Jiyong - He was the sole heir to one of the biggest companies in South Korea. He is a workaholic and a perfectionist. He grew up not being able to feel the love from his parents since they were always busy and working. They were never home to give him the proper childhood and love that a child needed. This is why he became such a workaholic and appears so cold to other people. He doesn't know how to express himself. His grandparents were the only ones who looked after him, cared for him, and showed him love as he was growing up. However, there was still a void in his heart since he was never able to feel the love from his parents, who were rarely ever home. He felt the need to fill this void - and he tried to, with different girls that he believed had the potential to be the one. But, they were just after his money. He started closing his heart off because he had enough and didn't need anymore of the heartache. Due to his cold persona, a lot of people were intimidated to approach him but there were many girls who still admired his intelligence, his looks, and his charms.

Supporting/Minor Characters:

Seunghyun - He's Jiyong's cousin and also his best friend. He knows everything about Jiyong, even stuff that Jiyong might not even want to admit himself. He wants to help Jiyong find someone who will make him enjoy his life more instead of devoting all his time on work. Seunghyun is also one of Jessica's closest friends, and someone she considered as her closest oppa. He met her while studying abroad during high school and they have developed a strong relationship with one another. He confides in her when he has problems and Jessica goes to him whenever she feels down.

Tiffany - She's Jessica's childhood best friend. They still kept in contact even after Jessica moved and caught up with each other through webcam. She is a sweetheart, even though she can be a bit ditzy at times. However, Jessica knew this friendship was one that she needed to keep and treasure. Tiffany is always ready to help and lend an ear for Jessica. She is level-headed and her seriousness helps keep Jessica in check. She always nags Jessica, which makes Tiffany seem like she's Jessica's mother but Jessica knows that Tiffany does it out of love.

Taeyeon - She's Jessica's step sister. When her parents got a divorce, her mom won custody of her. She wasn't able to see her father as much after the divorce since Taeyeon's mother was not too keen on letting Taeyeon see her father. After her father remarried, she built a sort of resentment against Jessica because she felt like Jessica was stealing her dad away from her. She was jealous of Jessica's closeness to her dad because she wanted to be the only child, the only daughter, the only daddy's girl in her dad's eyes. Jessica always tried to make an effort to be friends with Taeyeon, but Taeyeon was always cold and unresponsive.

Jaebum - He is Jiyong's and Seunghyun's older cousin. He lived in the US for most of his life, but his father made him return to South Korea to learn about business to be more like his cousins. However, he had a secret that no one knew. He went against his father and opened multiple bars in the US. The only reason he obliged to his father's commands to return to Korea was because he was planning on opening a branch in Korea as well. He loved the fun and free environment that was created at the bars and he couldn't care less about the business that his father wanted him to take a part in.

Foreword

The man stood at the end of the alter, in a light purple dress shirt and a white suit over it with his black hair gelled up. There were drops of sweat forming and trickling down the side of his face. He fidgeted with his hands out of nervousness, his eyes were unable to remain focused in one place, and, even though he tried his best to not show how unsettled he was, the worried expression on his face did not go unnoticed by his best friend.

"Jiyong, relax your expression a bit," Seunghyun leaned over and whispered to his friend. He was taller, had his black hair slicked back, and stood next to the groom as the best man. "She's going to show up, don't worry." He reassured him.

Jiyong could only let out a small sigh and nodded. He looked around the chapel. He had never realized how big and pretty it was when they were making wedding preparations before. The ceiling was high and there were windows at the top of the walls to his left and right with beautiful, colored paintings on them. He finally noticed the white and purple scheme that decorated the place. There where pink and lavender petals scattered around on top of the white carpet that is supposed to lead the bride down the aisle. The white and purple banners were twisted together, which gave a pretty combination, and hung on the sides of the pews down the aisle. Jiyong looked down at his purple shirt. He let out a small chuckle, "I guess she was right, white and purple do look good together."

The pianist began to play the wedding tune on the piano as people stood up and turned towards the door, waiting for the to-be bride to come out. Jiyong had his back to the priest and was staring at the tall, arched, closed white doors. He took a look at his parents who were sitting in front of him on the left side of the chapel, he didn't want to disappoint them. He, then, took a look to the front, right side of the chapel at her mom. She was smiling happily and he didn't want it to disappear. He made eye contact with his grandmother and she gave him a comforting, "it's going to be okay" look. He returned a small smile to her, but it quickly faded and he started getting nervous again.

"In case you forgot, people are supposed to be happy at their weddings." Seunghyun slightly nudged Jiyong's arms. Jiyong could feel his stomach doing somersaults, rolling in circles, turning inside out. He forced a smile onto his face as he stood there, waiting, hoping, desperate for her to walk through the doors. He could see some people were starting to get restless. The pianist tried to extend the wedding tune as long as he could, but Jiyong could tell it was coming to an end soon. He was getting more anxious. He just needed her to show up, open the door, and walk down the aisle.

Everyone's heads turned towards the door when they heard it slam open. The light from outside shone inside and the chapel got brighter. Jiyong squinted his eyes, searching for a figure somewhere in that bright light that shone through the door.

Jiyong's eyes widened.

Who is going to show up?

Who does he want in that wedding dress?

Is anyone going to end up walking down that aisle?

Will someone get the happy ending that they want?

A/N: I'm on summer break right now and I was sad that there weren't as many Jisica stories anymore, so I wanted to do one for fun since I have time. Plus, GD just had his comeback and that means that SNSD + GD should both be at the year end awards which means that Jessica and GD will be at the same place! The foreward/description might've turned out bad because I wanted to request for a poster, but I needed to post my story first so I did it in a hurry. I apologize! This is the first time I'm writing a story on here, so I welcome any suggestions or ideas! ^_____^
