Close Enough

There are a few things Sunny hated about being a famous celebrity.

Don't get her wrong.

She loves her job.

Hell, she worked so hard in order to achieve her dream of being a singer too much to even consider hating it.

But sometimes,  she can't deny that she really dislikes the disadvantages of the long hours.

Not that they don't get break days.

But Sunny just seriously hates it when she has to work on holidays.

More acccurately, specific holidays that she'd much rather spent with a certain T-ara Member.
 
Sighing,

She just can't help role her eyes at the fact that it seemed like every celebrities' obligation to promote a holiday to the public through events circling them.

And that's how she and her group members found themselves guesting on a few events on a day also known as Valentines Day all the way at the other end of the city away from
T-ara.

'What you really meant to think was away from Hyomin not just T-ara'

Though, she'd deny it if a member asked but Sunny couldn't help but add in that thought.

Sighing, again. Sunny was at least thankful that their performance was already done and she can finallly catch a break.

Heading back to the guest room with the others, she was contemplating on whether or not she should text Hyomin and greet her.

'I should txt her...I mean, shouldn't that be what a sensible girlfriend should do on Valentines Day?'

Grabbing her phone out of the bag, She couldn't help but get into another internal debate.

'No'.

'What a sensible girlfriend should do is be by her significant other's side and tell them that they love them and greet them a Happy Valentines Day preferably with flowers and chocolates straight to their face not through a short text message.'

Sunny thought with a scrunched up face while looking at Hyomin's name on her Phonebook as the screen on her phone was lit up.

'Should I just call her instead?'

"Yah Sunny! What are you doing staring at your phone like that? You know if you do that then you might end up melting your phone with your laser eyes"

Surprised by the sudden voice coming from one of the member's, Sunny looked up to find herself face to face with Sooyoung.

"Yah Shikskin! Don't scare me like that! I almost dropped my phone!"

Sooyoung couldn't help but snicker at Sunny's reaction.

"Haha. Fine. But what's up with you today anyway? I mean, it's like you're mode's either easily annoyed or sulking when we're not in front of the audience." Sooyoung said as they started gaining the interest of the rest of the members.

"I am not sulking!" Sunny denied.

"I know why Sunny-unnie's being so grouchy!" A certain Alligator mouthed member suddenly said excitedly garnering a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Yoona-ah!"

"It's because Sunny-unnie misses Hyomin-ah! keke.."

"!..."Sunny couldn't help but blush at what Yoona said mainly because it was completely true.

Looking at Sunny then at eachother,Sooyoung and Yoona couldn't help but grin as if reading each other's thoughts, they'd come to a conclusion that the best way to handle the situation was to help her at the same time tease Sunny.

"Hey Danshin, you don't have to be so moody. I mean if you wanted to talk to Hyomin you should just call her..."
"That's right. But you know Unnie, the only way you're ever going to end up talking to her is if you actually press the call button instead of just staring at your phone."

"You two!...Aish! really now!"  Sunny huffed as the others couldn't help but laugh.


"Okay, Okay. That's enough you two. You've had your fun. Now stop teasing Sunny."

Taeyeon, their Kid Leader suddenly said while coming towards them with Dil-Fanny in tow.  

"Aish. Thanks Taeyeon." Sunny said with a grateful smile.

"No problem Sunny.Besides, I know you're a bit upset that you couldn't spent today with Hyomin."

"..."

"It's alright Sunny-ah! atleast you can call and talk to her right? Maybe you can even meet tomorrow since we have the day off." Tiffany said.

"Yah I guess you're right." Sunny said as she gave them both a small smile. Truthfully, Sunny couldn't help but be a bit envious of the two.
Tiffany and Taeyeon have been dating for a while now and one of the perks of being in the same group together was that even though they have tons of schedules(group or individual)they still get to meet each other. In fact, Sunny was pretty sure the two have their own plans tonight since she caught Taeyeon on the phone booking a suite on a fancy hotel  the other night.

Sigh* " It's just that since it's our first Valentines as couple I wanted to spend the day together, but then Manager-oppa said that we had a booked day and Hyomin has her own scheds for the day so I had to cancel any plans I had"

"Cheer up buddy! I'm sure there's something you can do..Well..even if you're all the way at the other end of the city away from Hyomin....wait..okay that didn't come out right." Sooyoung said once she realized that she probably failed half way on cheering up their bunny.

Sunny couldn't help but glare at the shikskin.

But then it seemed like a light bulb was lit on Sunny's mind as Sooyoung's words suddenly gave her a brilliant idea.

"Sooyoung! what you said just gave me a bright idea." Sunny said as she ran off to find their Manager leaving the room occupants clueless to what the Bunny's planning.


Meanwhile....


"Eunjung! hey wait for me!" A certain tall brunnette said to the T-ara member"

"Ah, Hyomin. Mianhe. I thought you went ahead with Jiyeon and the others."

"I did but then I forgot my purse at the our waiting room so i had to go back to snatch it."

"Is that so? well come on, Manager-Oppa and the others are probably waiting for us in the van already."

"Ok!"

The two members then walked towards their van.

"Unnies! What took you guys so long! You're late!" Jiyeon their resident maknae and dinosaur coudn't help but rawr out.

"Sorry Jiyeon, I just went back to get my bag." Hyomin said as she and Eunjung made their way into the van and closed the door.

As the van rolled on and made their way to high way in order to get T-ara to their last schedule of the day, Hyomin couldn't help but let her mind wander.

It was Valentines Day and She hadn't heard from Sunny all day. Granted, she knew that the other girl was busy with her own schedule but is it so much to ask for
a small text from her girlfriend on this special day? Hyomin admits that she couldn't help but be a bit disapppointed that they couldn't spend the day together because of their own responsibilities in work. But she at least wanted to get a simple greeting from her girlfriend, Sunny.

Sighing, The tall brunette couldn't help but be noticed by Eunjung.

"What wrong Hyomin? You seem a bit sad."

"It nothing Eunjung-ah..it's just that I haven't heard from Sunny all day and although I want to contact her, I don't think her event's finished yet so she might not pick up."

"Aww..Cheer up Hyomin. I'm sure that Sunny's been busy and is just waiting for a good time to call you. I'm pretty sure that after the even she'll call you immediately"

"You're right Unnie, I might just be being a bit clingy."

"No you aren't. I know that I'd be feeling the same way too if I had someone I loved."

"Wait, Unnie does that mean Jang-Woo oppa doesn't have a chance?"

"Well I do--Yah Hyomin-ah!" Eunjung screamed eliciting laughter from all the other members.

After that the atmosphere in the van started become light as the members started teasing Eunjung and some of the other members.
It wasn't long till they reached their last venue for the day.

Before T-ara's performance....

"Guy's let's do our best today as T-ara"

"Everyone in One Two Three..."

"T-aaaraa....

"FIGHTING!"

After their performance, T-ara is now in their waiting room resting a bit before packing their things.

*Ringggg *Riinggg

"Hyomin-unnie I think that it's your phone that's ringing?"

"eh?" Hyomin then hurridly rushes to her bag and digs out her phone to answer.

"Yeobseyo?"

"Hyomin-ah" Recognizing the voice instantly, Hyomin's mood suddenly turns into a delighted one as she answers the other speaker with an ethusiastic tone.

Hyomin: "Sunny-ah!"  

Sunny: "Hehe...delighted to hear from me huh?"

Hyomin: "Of course I am Sunny-ah!

Sunny: "keke...well I'm glad i'm not the only one. But I didn't actually call just to hear your voice."

Hyomin: "Huh? What do you mean?"

Sunny: "Are you still at your last venue?"

Hyomin:"Uhh...yah...We just finished our performance a while back. In fact i think we're just about to leave for the stage again for the ending so we can say our goodbyes along with the other artists."

Sunny: "Is that so?"

Hyomin: "Uhuh."

Sunny: "Hyomin-ah. When you go out right now, bring your phone with you. then wait for my call okay?"

Hyomin: "Ok? Sunny-ah what's this about anyway?"

Sunny: "You'll see." was the last thing Hyomin heard as she heard the other hang up.

Call Ended

Hyomin: "Yeobeseyo? Yah! Sunny-ah!"

"I can't believe she just hang up on me! ...i didn't even get a Happy Valentines! Sunny-ah you pabo!"

"Yah Hyomin, I know you're a bit upset but we have to get back on stage now. Their calling us."

"Ah..Soyeon-ah! Hai! Coming!"

'Guess I should bring my phone with me like Sunny said.'

It was in the ending performance as the last note(song) was sung together by all the artists including T-ara while the stage is full of smiles, waves, and large amounts of confetti as well as a large amount of fan service when Hyomin receives the call.

Hyomin: "Sunny-ah..?"

Sunny: "Hyomin-ah...first of all...Just say yes to me okay? please just listen to me okay? No interruptions or anything while I'm talking or else I might forget what I want to say to you..."

Sunny: "Okay Hyomin?"

Hyomin: "eh...ah..Deh!"

Sunny: "Listen...I know that I'm not the most affectionate girlfriend.In fact, sometimes I can be quite clueless when you want more affection or attention from me....and I know that although you said that it was alright that we couldn't spend Valentine's Day together...

    A Holiday that was practically made for couples who were hopelessly in love...
    people like us...because we 're both busy anyway...

    But I, I really...really want you to know that I wanted to make this day special for you. I wanted to make it special not only because it's our first Valentine's as a     couple but because...because I love you Hyomin. I really love you and the past  few months we've been together have been the happiest moments in my life so far."

Sunny: "So even though I'm not with you right now...even though we can't spend the last few minutes of the day together...I'm still going to show you how much I love you"

"Hyomin-ah"

"Look up."

Hyomin never knew how two words can cause her so much confusion.

That is until she heard the music and the loud sounds echoing across the sky as she snapped her head up to look where they were coming from...

The sound of soft piano notes hums through the stage coming from the speakers, invades the area mixing with the booming sound of...

Fireworks.

Colors of different shades scattered across the sky. Somehow...seemingly dancing to the beat of the song...a song with a voice so familiar to Hyomin...
Sunny's voice...

Entranced, Hyomin realizes it slowly...

Realizing that she was still holding the phone to her ear.

Sunny sings this part again and again to her on the phone and all Hyomin can do is listen and watch what it means to be truly loved by the person she cared about the most.

Sunny didn't hate her job.

She loved it a lot.

She couldn't deny the disadvantages of being a celebrity...but
she can't deny the perks of being one.

Like say for example, using her status in convincing the event's manager and Dj at Hyomin event to play a particular song at a particular time.

Or calling in a favor to some people she knew to throw a last minute fireworks display while using some of her uncle's power as leverage.

Nope...

Sure she couldn't be with Hyomin right now physically...but she's going to make damn sure that her presence would be with the woman she loved...and you know what...
at the moment...enough...it's close enough.

Because tomorrow, she's going to make sure that she gets to hold Hyomin in her arms.
