AILEE’s POV

I didn’t expect to see Krystal and Amber here in the bookstore together. Amber looks happy today and I think that finally, something good had happened between them. He suggested for us to eat dinner together so we head to this one restaurant. Krystal doesn’t look that she’s in favor of this idea but she did not disagree on it.

“So, how’s your college life?” I questioned them both while we are waiting for our food to be served.

“It’s quite good for me.” Amber first answered with a smile on his face.

“Same.” Krystal followed with a faint smile when our attentions were shifted to her.

“You are still in second year and Amber is in his third year, there is still a long way for both of you before you finish your course.” I stated to them.

“You are really a teacher!” Amber remarked and chuckled. Krystal just flashed a faint smile.

“I am one, dork!” I replied to him and giggled.

“Oh yeah!” He playfully said while nodding his head. “But Noona, 1 and 2 years is not that long.” He added.

“There’s a lot that can happen in two years, right Krystal?” I spoke which made Krystal looked at me. She slightly nodded her head in agreement. “Like changed of what was planned today.” I continued, throwing my glance on Amber.

“Well, I won’t disagree on that.” Amber replied with an awkward smile on his face. “Maybe in those years, you will change your mind in staying single and find a man whom you want to spend your life with.” He teased me and flashed his sly smile.

“Well, that man will be lucky because I will love him sincerely and truly.”I answered confidently and grinned.

“I’m curious what a goldfish ideal type of man is?” Amber asked me.

“I consider someone like you.” I answered and I noticed a glint of surprise in his eyes but then later he laughed. Krystal on the other hand is furrowing her brows while looking at me.

“Tsk! I knew it!” Amber exclaimed.

“Knew what?” I answered and scoffed.

“That I am the girls’ ideal type of man.” He said confidently which made me giggle.

“Don’t get full of yourself, dork! Not all girls like you.” I scoffed.

“Excuse me, I’m going to the restroom.” Krystal said which broke I and Amber’s conversation.

She left without waiting for our respond and head to the direction where the restroom is. I think the subject in our conversation is making her feel uncomfortable. If she doesn’t have feelings for Amber, then she should have play along with us and not get affected by it.

KRYSTAL’s POV

I can’t stand seeing them talked like that. It seems like they forgot that I am with them. It is annoying to see Amber more enjoying Ailee-unnie’s company than anyone else. Their laughs, jokes, the look in their eyes I feel like being suffocated seeing that. I find it hard to breath so I come up for the best excuse to relieve myself and that is to leave them alone by coming here in the restroom. I stayed in one cubicle and lock myself for a while.

“Unnie!” I said over the phone when I decided to call my sister.

“Soojung? What’s up?” She replied groggily.

“Did I wake you up?” I asked her. “I’m sorry.”

“No, it’s okay. So why did you call?” she questioned.

“I just needed someone to talk to.” I answered her.

“Why? Did you and Amber have a fight?”she asked curiously.

“No.” I replied shortly.

“So what’s wrong?”she asked again.

“Nothing is wrong Unnie. I told you, I just needed someone to talk to.” I stated.

“Come on, Soojung. You can’t hide anything from me. I know there is something bothering you and I think it has something to do with that dork.”she insisted. “What did he do to you?”

“He didn’t do anything wrong, Unnie.” I sighed.

“Then what is bothering you?”she asked again.

“I…” I paused.

I am not sure what I am going to say to her. She doesn’t know about Suho. I can’t tell her that I feel jealous seeing Amber being close to Ailee-unnie than to me. I am not sure if I am jealous as a friend or feeling jealous more than that because if I just feel jealous being a friend, then I won’t feel a sting in my heart every time he flash those smiles to her. The smile that he never flash to me, to his family and friends.

“You what, Soojung?” Unnie asked with a glint of impatience in her voice.

“I just miss you! I wanted to talk to you that is why I called. There is really nothing bothering that is why I called.” I said to her pretending to sound cheerful and laugh. There was a brief silent for a moment and I was hoping that she buys my act.

“Well, if you don’t want to talk about it then I won’t force you.”she said and sighed. “Anyway, I have a good news for you.”she continued.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Our company has finally recovered and we are now saved from bankruptcy. You can now back out from that engagement if that Llama doesn’t make you happy.” she informed me.

‘You’re wrong Unnie. It’s the other way around. I’m the one who’s not making him happy not even once since we got reunited.’
