New Year
Yoon Bomi's WorldNew Year, for Yoon Bomi, is festive. It’s when along with family or friends she celebrates the past year’s success and wishes for more in the next year. It’s when a subtle meaning of you’ll be there for me and vice versa—whether for your joy or desperate times.
It means we belong together and keep the bond forever; yesterday, today, also tomorrow.
“Yes, omma. I’m sorry I can’t spend the new year together with all of you home.” Like this time, Bomi is still in the grocery store with Lee Seungyeol buying the necessities for celebrating new year together. While the male kindly pushes the trolley, Bomi is connected to her mom through the phone call. “Oh? Hoya oppa already told you? Yeah, I guess that oppa always beats me in everything then.”
Seungyeol picks several paprika while snickering hearing the younger girl whines on the phone.
“Yes, yes, of course I’ll be forever grateful about him.” Bomi rolls her eyes at the silly things her mom says. Maybe it’s a nature for a mother of a daughter to feel so proud and protected more about her daughter’s boyfriend. “Don’t forget to send my love to dad and dongsaeng. I love youuu.”
Seungyeol chuckles after Bomi hangs up the call, sighing.
“Hoya has let your mother know first?” He grins, totally can imagine his bandmate doing some politeness and manner too easily.
“Yeah,” Bomi replies, grimaces unceremoniously. “Apparently oppa has called mom first that I would spend this night celebrating with A Pink and Infinite. He always makes me look worse and worse in front of my own mother.” She whines, pouting adorably.
“That’s typical of him.” Seungyeol shrugs off with the grin still on his face.
“I know right?”

Both Bomi and Seungyeol are welcomed with the sight of Nam Woohyun and Park Chorong bickering near the car—something about Woohyun doesn’t want his girlfriend to drive and Chorong accuses her boyfriend have a trust issue—when they finally reaches A Pink dorm.
“Guys,” Seungyeol calls tiredly, the big grocery bags are still securely in his arms. “Can you stop your fight for a while and help me with this?”
Bomi laughs before Woohyun grumpily takes two of the bags and places them inside the trunk.
“What is it, unnie?”
Chorong throws her last death glare toward Woohyun before answering the younger girl’s curiosity—or a mere conversation breaker since Bomi already used to with the amusing banter between her unnie and her oppa.
“He said I’m a bad driver!”
“No, I didn’t!” Behind the car, Woohyun shouts in the middle of arranging the goods together with one of his bandmates. “God, Park Chorong! Can’t you just once believe I do something for your good sake?!”
“Oh, yeah, like seriously?!” Chorong sneers quickly and earns a loud groan from Woohyun muttering I give up, do whatever you want! and unfortunate for Seungyeol who has to look emphatic with the disbelief expression Woohyun makes.
Bomi once again can only giggle, too much enjoying the usual scene in front of her.
“Hey,” Seungyeol speaks up when the guys finally finish the work and come to the girls’ side again. “How about you two just once are being a good couple like Bomi and Hoya?”
Bomi’s laughter gets louder. “Seungyeol oppa, are you kidding?! We’re talking about Woohyun oppa and Chorong unnie here!” And she continues her unappreciated laughter.
Seungyeol’s eyes meet with Chorong’s glare and Woohyun’s sour look, then he sighs.
“Right. Who am I kidding?”
“Oh right, talking about that
