At the clinic

'Aish, seriously?! I didn't even get to know his name. For a moment there, I kind of forgot that my ankle hurt. I hope I get to see him again later, he was really sweet and fun to talk to' Sooyoung thought as she pouted a bit when she was wheeled into the examination room away from her nameless prince.

2 hours later

“Sooyoung~shii, you can go now but you’re going to have to use the wheelchair to get around the school.  You can’t be left alone to maneuver the wheelchair by yourself so I’ve assigned a nurse to help push your wheelchair.” Instructed the head nurse

“Aniyo, can I just use crutches? I know you’ve already told appa and he’s probably put you up to this. I feel uncomfortable when people treat me like I might break when the wind blows. Let’s just tell appa I used the wheelchair, besides, I don’t want to take away a nurse from the clinic just so I can sit on the wheelchair and be pushed to where I want to. She’ll just tire herself. Please?” Sooyoung pleaded

“Arasso, Sooyoung~shii. Please just be more careful next time.” Said the head nurse as she half-heartedly agreed

“Yay. Komapseumnida!” she said as she beamed at the nurse

Sooyoung took the crutches and adjusted them so they’d be right for height. When she exited the clinic, she noticed that a lot of students were in the hallway just talking and whatnot. It was either free period or they were on a break.

‘Aish, how long was I in there? I’m starting to feel really hungry. I have to get to the lounge quickly. If only these crutches were easier to use. ‘ she thought to herself

About 5 minutes later she arrived at the lounge and saw all her friends there. She even saw Taemin, whom she didn’t see in the morning.

“Sooyoung noona, how’s your ankle doing?” asked Taemin

“It’s fine Taemin~ah, but I can’t buy food and bring it here when I’m using these crutches.” Sooyoung said as she pouted

“Don’t worry noona, I’ll scare whoever caused your injury when I find out who he is.” Minho jokingly said

“Aniyo Minho, you don’t need to do that. It was partly my fault anyway.”

“Oh,  Key hyung and Yunho hyung are outside right now. I’ll text them to buy some food for you!” said Taemin

“Arasso, gomawo Taeminnie~ah. Who’s Key though?” she asked

“Oh, I forgot you haven’t met him yet,” Taemin laughed “Don’t worry noona, I’m sure you’ll like him! He seems really fun, he’s just a bit shy because he’s new here.”

At the café

“Well, there’s this guy Cho Kyuhyun who’s tried to court her. I mean, the guy is still trying because he’s just so persistent. If you don’t know him, you’d think it’s sweet that he’s been trying for 2 years now. But, the thing is, he’s really just really arrogant and he does nothing but boast about how his parents have large food chains overseas. Sooyoung’s been trying to get rid of that guy since she met him, but no matter what you say to a guy with an ego like him, he just won’t go away.” Yunho sighed, pity for his dongsaeng evident in his voice

“Oh, so Sooyoung hasn’t had a boyfriend?” Key asked

“As far as I know, no she hasn’t,” Yunho was interrupted when his phone beeped because of a text “Oh! Key, we need to buy one of each of everything in the café, I’ll take all the desserts and you take the snacks. Let’s go!” Yunho suddenly said as he ran to get trays for the food

Yunho and Key returned about 5 minutes later each holding two trays. The trays Yunho held had dessert and Key had one of everything you could find in the café on both trays. Yunho passed the dessert trays around so everyone could choose what they wanted. Key, on the other hand looked so clueless as to why he was instructed to get that much food when everyone in the room already ate.

“Key hyung, the food you brought is for my noon,” Minho laughed “she’s more of a shikshin than Yoona you know.”

“Yah! Minho~ah! I haven’t even met him formally and you already ruin my innocent reputation.” She said as she feigned annoyance at her brother. “Anyway,Annyeong..” she said as she turned around “Oh! It’s you!”

“Oh! Annyeong, Kim Kibum imnida but please call me Key” he said “sorry for leaving you there, the nurse told me to go to the classroom before I could introduce myself.” he said as he rubbed the back of his neck

“Wait, you’ve met?” asked Sunny

“Neh, he was the one who carried me to the clinic after some random guy bumped into me while I was running.” Said Sooyoung as she sent a look to Key that told him not to say that it was he who Sooyoung bumped into

“Aww, how sweet of Key! He didn’t even know you, yet he carried you to the clinic.” Said Tiffany, obviously touched by what Key did.

Sooyoung and Key both turned beet red as the boys gave them looks that were meant to tease both of them.

Soon, the rest of the girls chimed in and gushed about how sweet it was of Key to do that. The boys, seemingly jealous of all the attention Key got from the girls, said that they could have also done that, they just couldn’t because their girlfriends might get jealous. Tiffany, Sunny, Hyoyeon and Seohyun returned their attention back to their boyfriends who rarely got jealous and reassured them that they believed the boys would also do that if the girls were to get hurt.

“Well, looks like we’ve found a fifth SHINee member! “ announced Onew “Key fits the part. Being a gentleman is the first thing you have to be to become a member of SHINee. Since it’s been proven you’re a gentleman,” Onew faced Key “ welcome to SHINee!” everyone cheered as they shook Key’s hand and hugged him. Key didn’t really know how popular SHINee was because of their personalities and talents but he was going to find out soon enough.

Key’s POV

‘Wow, these guys.. I didn’t know that people like them could be so friendly to people like me. At least until they know I’m a scholar I guess. Even before half of this day has passed, I already feel so welcome and so close to them. This day just keeps getting better’ he smiled ‘I have new friends, I’m part of SHINee though I’m not sure what SHINee actually is, and well, I think I just met the girl of my dreams’

Sorry this chap's cheesy and whatnot and sorry there aren't any couple moments. I might do Sookey and TaemYoon next chapter but I'll definitely try and put in some Minyul, Jongsica and Ontaeng :)
