Have you ever seen something from the corner of your eye, only to look and see a shadow? Disregarding it as a figment of your imagination. Wrong move. It wasn't your imagination. How do I know? Because I'm the shadow that skates around you. I'm the shadow that makes your nightmares and fears real. Why? Because you have something I desire. Something that I can't create myself. Don't worry, I won't force it away from you. I'll give you a chance. A chance to escape. How? Through my game of course. I create the rules and they're set. All you have to do is win. If you win, you're free to go. If you lose, I get what I desire. So what will it be? Are you ready to begin the forbidden game?

Hello ^^
This is a Forbidden Game AU. This comes from the book, Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith. The same author who wrote the Vampire Diaries. It's not a very well known book, but I think it's amazing how she came up with the idea and wrote it. You don't have to read the book in order to read this fic :3 It's just some of the same concepts, such as the game, everything else is completely different.
