‘Now this is a story about how, my life got flip turned upside down…’

Another day of school, another bowl of Mini Wheats and another episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Except this isn’t just any other day, and a text to Baekhyun’s phone reminds him why.

Baekhyun couldn’t help but smile at the text as he rounded up the rest of his belongings for school. He also didn't stop thinking about the eventful evening he had the night before, and every thought of it sent a sweet fluttering feeling to his chest as he locked his front door and headed towards the elevator.

I’m coming you giraffe! Just wait a little longer! <3

“Umm…hi Baekkie…”

“Yeollie…you came…”

The two boys stared at each other for what they thought was an eternity, both unsure of what to say. It wasn’t until Baekhyun put down the pan and proceeded to lightly throw a few hits to Chanyeol’s chest and Chanyeol enveloping the smaller boy in a hug that more words ended up being exchanged.

“Did you want me to leave?”
 

“No, you stupid giraffe…don’t ever leave me…please?”

Chanyeol let out a chuckle before tilting his head and pecking the elder’s cheek.

“I won’t, Baekkie. Not even if you told me to.”

The two boys unwillingly parted from their hug and went inside. Baekhyun finished making dinner and the two sat and ate together, with Baekhyun feeding kalbi to Chanyeol. After the first few bites, Chanyeol pulled Baekhyun closer to him and Baekhyun couldn’t help but blush at the contact.

“Baekkie, this is so good!!! Your cooking definitely got better! I’m so proud of you!” The giant exclaims loudly, making his satisfaction known by planting a kiss in Baekhyun’s hair and causing the smaller male’s heart to fly around the entire room.

“Well I had a pretty good guinea pig to help me try to impress my crush, remember?” Baekhyun smirked and Chanyeol retaliated by gently tickling Baekhyun’s side, fully understanding the double meaning in what the elder had just said.

The two finished the food and relocated to Baekhyun’s room, where they made themselves comfortable on Baekhyun’s bed as they’ve done before, only this time, things are a little different. They both sat cuddled in each other’s embrace and a comfortable silence falls on them. Baekhyun looks up at Chanyeol from his position on Chanyeol’s collarbone before shifting up to peck the giant’s cheek. A few moments pass before the shorter male speaks up, asking the question that’s been on his mind for most of the night.

“So…how long?”

“Hmm? How long what?” The taller boy replies, confusion spreading on his face.

“How long have you liked me?” Baekhyun finishes.

“Oh…I guess that was bound to come eventually…hehe” Chanyeol scratches the back of his neck, awkwardly giggling before continuing. “Well, to be honest, I’ve liked you ever since the day we met. I guess it wasn’t too hard, since you were being so nice and kind to me even though we just met. Needless to say after
