You can safely blame this madness on my Environmental Science Professor and trade routes. I don’t even know why I went to lecture that day, it wasn’t like I ever learned anything. We were talking about ocean currents and somehow we got to shipping and she said that the best shipping route was pretty dangerous because of Somalian pirates. Now I was already in a Super Junior-y mood cuz I had spent the last 3 days watching SS2 on loop, and the boys were at the front of my mind. And then she said the word “Pirates” and I was just like- *headdesk* ‘Why did you have to go and say that? Now all I can think of is Donghae in pirate garb racing around a boat with the theme song from “Pirates of the Caribbean” playing in the background.’ And then of course Kyuhyun getting mad about it followed, and then I pictured Donghae getting thrown overboard and I just had to write it down.

I wound up not turning them into actual pirates, mostly because I couldn’t write Kyuhyun without his mad tech skills, so old-fashion, 16^thcentury Black-Beard types were out. And any modern pirates are not going to be nice people and I was like “*sob* I don’t wanna make them mean…” and it eventually it morphed into this.

Note: Muppet Treasure Island and Pirates of the Caribbean are heavily referenced in this fic. If you don’t know/haven’t seen either of them then shame on you, wae you no watch them? Especially Muppets. If you ain’t seen Muppets then go sit in the corner of shame, I don’t want you.

That’s a lie I totally want you. Just go watch the movie later and cry because you’ve missed out on an important childhood rite.
