It was another beautiful day and everyone was outside at the bleachers, having their lunch with the most popular and picture perfect couple in the entire school: Bang Yongguk, the school's star soccer player plus music genius and Song Jieun, the school's smartest - and not to mention - most prettiest female student. They were like the King and Queen of the school. With their families funding money into the school, no teacher or student dared to pluck a single strand of hair from their bodies. Unless you were someone from Jiho's group then, you would always be in detention every lunch time. Everyone was laughing at the memory of when Youngjae had played as the school's mascot but only to get laughed at after ruining the cheer teams performance. "It wasn't my fault! That damn thing was so hot inside and the stupid tail of the costume got in the way of where I was going!" He explained as his face turned red from the embarassing memory. Just then, the subject was changed when Hyosung's interest was directed towards Yongguk's golden angel wing earring, that he wore on his right earlobe. "Where'd you get it?" she asked as she stared at the earring's beauty from afar. "Yeah. You know, I asked him if I could have it but he totally refused to give it to me," Jieun said with her eyes wide open as she turned to stare at Yongguk who had seemed to drift off to another world. To the world, where his last memory of his most treasured friend lived and smiled at him, as he disappeared for whoever knows how long. It was at an airport where Yongguk and his friend waited in silence for his friend's flight. "Hey... Bbang," his friend said, looking out through a window, at the runway, "Will you wait for me until I comeback to Seoul?" Yongguk nodded and murmured a 'yes' as he looked up to stare where his friend was looking at. He was blinking back tears so that his friend wouldn't see him cry. If he did... His friend might change his mind and not go to America. Thus, making his mom mad. "Really?" His friend asked with smile growing on his small face, "Really, Bbang? You would wait for me?" Yongguk nodded with wide eyes as his friend grabbed his hands and started jumping up and down. "No matter how long it takes? And you won't replace me?" his friend asked still holding his hands. Yongguk nodded again. Just then, his friend threw his hands down, making Yongguk wonder why the sudden change of mood? "Bbang, you know what? You nodding is not very convincing!" His friend was glaring at him while taking off his right earring and piercing it through Yongguk's unpierced earlobe. "Ow!" shouted Yongguk, in pain as he covered his right ear with his hands. As pulled his hands back, he found a glistening red colour smeared on them. "Why'd you do that for? What if I get an infection?" He said angrily, as he looked up to find his friend giggling. " Well... That's what you get for not answering me properly," he said, his expression turning serious. "You keep wearing that earring until I come back," his friend said. Yongguk furrowed his brows as he noticed that his friend was more like commanding him to wear the earring, than asking him wear it. He nodded, anyways. "Quit nodding! There's a reason why God gave us a mouth, you know!" His friend said sighing. Before his friend could nag him even further about his nodding habit, they heard his friend's mom calling him for it was time for their flight. "Don't worry," said Yongguk, "I'll take care of your precious earring til you come back." He gave his friend a gummy smile as they did a typical bro hug and wave goodbye to each other. Yongguk stuck around, in the airport, trying to figure out which plane would have his friend inside of it and when he found it, he followed the plane through the window as it slowly flew to the sky and waved his final goodbye. "Earth to Yongguk!" Yongguk snapped out of his memories and looked up to find everyone staring at him. "What?" he asked with wide eyes, as looked at everyone. "What do you mean 'What?' Hyosung just asked you where you got your earring," said Jieun, looking a bit annoyed. "Oh, sorry," he said. "My old friend gave it to me before he left for the States," he explained while clearing his throat. "Oh..." said Hyosung nodding, "I thought that it would be from a girl since it looked kind of feminie." Everyone shot a look at Hyosung, which she, then, gestured for everyone to calm down. "It's okay, you guys," said Jieun flashing everyone a cute smile, "Hyosung didn't mean anything by it." Jieun, then, linked her arms with Yongguk's, almost making him choke as he drank from his water bottle. "And plus," she said turning to smile at Yongguk and Yongguk returned it with one of his gummy smiles, "nothing would ruin our picture-perfect relationship." Yongguk's smile almost faltered but he covered it up by taking another sip of his water. Just then, the bell rang for the next period and everyone got up to gather their stuff, to head inside of the school. Yongguk smiled. Saved by the bell, he thought to himself as walked hand in hand with Jieun, who gave him a pleasant smile. Mrs. Kim was at the airport waiting for her son's arrival. She had came back to South Korea a week ago, without her son, so that she could fix up their big house and her son's school registration forms. Just when she was about to leave to get a coffee at a café, a familiar face had came out from the arrivals door. He was a young man with female like features to his face and beautiful pale skin. His lips were small and was nice a shade of light pink. His hair was light brown and he had nice doll-like black eyes. He smiled as he saw his mother and gave a small wave. Everyone stared at him as he walked towards his mom, thinking he was some actor or kpop idol because of his beautiful looks and airport fashion. When he came closer, he gave his mother a peck on each side of her cheek but he suddenly yelped when his mother jabbed the end of her heel on his foot. "MOTHER!" He shot back at her when he looked up at her after falling to the ground to hold onto his poor foot. "What did I tell you about drawing attention towards us? You know how much I hate it when people stare at us!" She hissed. "Anyways, lets go. All that waiting made me hungry," she said smiling and linking her arm into her son's. Her son glared at her. "Awww... My baby Himchan mad at me for stepping on his foot?" She asked poutting at him while, cuffing his face in her hands. "Well, if you don't want me to step on your other foot with my other heel, you better stop playing around! Mother's hungry!" Himchan's mom said as she pushed her loving son's face away, in full force, causing Himchan tumbling backwards. "MOTHER, HOW COULD YOU? MY FACE IS MY MOST PRIZED POSSESSION! BE CAREFUL WITH IT!" Himchan screeched as he ran after his mom, pulling two large heavy luggages behind him. After school, Yongguk and Jieun would usually buy some ice cream and play the small arcade game that was outside of the variety store. While they were playing, a black shiney car had pulled up behind them. Inside was Himchan and his mother, who got out to go inside the variety store to buy some coke. Himchan rolled down the car's window and stared at a couple, in their school uniform, playing an arcade game. He smiled at the thought of doing the same thing in the past with an old friend. Just then, his mother came back in the car making Himchan face away from the window, to grab the plastic bag from his mom. While he joked around with his mother, the sun's rays had hit his earring. The light on his earring made a reflection on the window of the variety store, catching Yongguk's attention. Yongguk's eyes widened once he saw the side view reflection of a young man who wore a golden angel wing earring, inside the black car behind him. When he turned to stare at the young man, in the car, it was already too late. The black car had turned and drove away. Was that him? Was that who he think it was?
