Here I am in homeroom rather earlier than usual, I really don't know why. The bell rang and people started to take their seats. Joe walked through the door and I quickly realized my reason for being extremely early. As he took his seat I cleared my throat a little and scooted my seat over abit.

“I’m not gonna bite" He chuckled, pulling my seat closer to his. I grinned and moved a piece of hair from my face and behind my ear.

I went through my bag and pulled out my math book, remembering I had a test early the next day. I flipped the pages to the one I needed and began to study. I hated math, the one subject I was horrible in. I needed to study the best I could so I could at least pass with a decent grade. I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulder; I turned to see Joe trying to get my attention.

“Hey there” I said trying to act surprised.

“Hey, I couldn’t help but to notice that you take the same math class as me” He smiled.

“Oh, I guess” I let out a little chuckle. You could tell I wasn’t too amused.

“You wouldn’t mind helping me out abit, would you?” He stared at me and smiled.

Okay so he was asking me for help in math? No one would ever do that! I know he doesn’t know that I fail at it but I couldn’t just say no. As he looked me in the eyes I couldn’t help but to get lost in them, I gave in.

“Sure!” I smiled “What do you need?”

“I don’t really understand how to graph this and I have a test next class” He sounded worried and it made me feel bad.

Even though I was abit unsure myself I managed to help out the best I could. Im the one that should be asking for the help, who knows, maybe this could lead to a really nice friendship. It seemed he was understanding and assured me that he was good on his own. I could see the other girls in class looking at me; their eyes were full of jealousy. Now that I was done helping him out I went back to my book. As soon as I got to the page I left off on, the bell rang,

“UGH!” I grunted as I stomped out the door.

                It was time for lunch and I was so happy that the day was almost over. I walked down the stairs to the main floor to eat with my best friend in her class. Before I got to the door I was greeted by Joe, he looked very happy.

“KRIS!!!” He took hold of my shoulders and shook me a little

“Whatttttt!!”I was caught off guard.

“Thanks to you I passed my test!” He had a huge smile on his face and his eyes were huge.

He took me in his arms and gave me a hug. He squeezed me a little, his soft blonde hair on the side of my face. My expression went from surprised to happy in an instant. He released me and smiled at me. I blushed and looked down to the ground. He took his hand under my chin and lifted my head. Our eyes were leveled and our faces were inches away. My heart started to race, I couldn’t comprehend everything that was happening. He moved in slowly and pressed his lips against mine. I just closed my eyes and took it all in, it was so electrifying. He took his lips away from mine and just stared deeply into my eyes. I was frozen and couldn’t move at all, my jaw dropped slightly.

“I’ll see you later” He smirked and walked away.

I was still standing in the same spot. It was still lunch time but I was no longer hungry. That kiss satisfied my hunger, my hunger for someone to actually love me. This was the most amazing thing that has ever happened. I stood there until the bell for the last class rang.

I was excused from science so I spent my time in the library.  I sat at a table in the back and cracked open a book I found in a pile over by the suspense section. I’ve always had a thing for books especially suspense. I was getting to a really good part; the woman was alone in her room and started to hear footsteps coming up the stairs.

“Boo!”

I jumped and almost fell out of my chair. Joe walked from behind me and sat across the table.

“What are you doing here?” I whispered.

“Someone told me I would find you here“He smiled.

“You were looking for me?”

“Mhmm” He bit his lower lip as he hummed his words.

I smiled and set my book to the side.

“Sooo you think you can meet me in the foyer after school?” He raised his eyebrows.

“I have late night, there’s a huge math test tomorrow”

“Oh well ok we can meet some other time right?”He questioned.

“Yeah for sure!” I smiled.

“Ok good, well im not supposed to be down here so ill catch you later” He walked past me and patted me on the head.

A pat on the head????I said to myself. I went back to my book and waited for school to be over.
