Basketball seems to be rising in popularity nowadays as the kids keep getting progressively more talented and influenced by foreign culture. More and more kids have wanted to play in school and move up in the ranks to play professionally. Schools all around have begun to support and encourage this new trend as have the parents of the students. Nowadays it isn't uncommon to see donations being made to the sports programs in school to sponsor basketball teams. School tournaments have sprouted up as have larger scale tournaments all around Korea. Solar Academy is not the most prestigious school in Korea but it is a popular choice among parents who do not have the money to send their kids to private school. The staff tries their hardest to create the best environment for their students to excel in both academics and sports. The parents of the students as well as anonymous benefactors often provide funds for the schools basketball team as year after year the kids get better and better. This year, the school hopes to raise it's ranking in basketball because a world-wide tournament is being sponsored by basketball leagues around the globe. Solar Academy coaches have even gone as far as scouting to get people to play basketball for them. Why? Because they plan to win.
