Son hyunwoo - aka shownu of monsta x - used to train under jyp back before junior and jb debuted as jj project. they were extremely close, forming a group of three in the hopes to debuting as a trio. in a shocking turn of events, shownu left out of nowhere. he didn't warn any of his dongsaengs - not mark, not bambam, not youngjae, not yugyeom, not jinyoung, not even jaebum - leaving some of them in tears. they moved on to form jj project and eventually got7, a new trainee by the name of jackson wang taking the open space. after bouncing around various companies, shownu eventually settled at starship and debuted as a member of monsta x.

but... what if this never happened? What if he never left jyp? What if... it was jjs project and got8?

author's note: so this is gonna be a series basically of things that i think should have happened a different way or me thinking "what if this happened" and then writing what would happen :) this was the first one i thought of so tada~
