Lovestruck with a Soccer Ball
Description
For Yoon SuAh, there was nothing more in her life other than books, books, and more books. A quiet and shy girl entering a new school, her love for reading brings back the taunts and jeers she had experienced from her past. Can a soccer ball hit to the face help her realize that there's more to life than just books, and perhaps find love in the process?
Foreword
Excerpt from Chapter 2:
“Omo, unnie! Look at that little bunny toy up there, isn’t it so cute?” My cousin pointed to a small stuffed animal hanging on a chain by the ring-tossing stand. I looked at it. It did look pretty cute.
“Kaja, Bomi-yah. They have a dukbokki stand nearby.” I led my cousin away, however taking a last glance at the little bunny hanging there. Too bad I at these ring-tossing games; I would end spend more than I received.
Surprisingly, I bumped into two familiar figures at the dukbokki stand. “Kikwang, Junhyung!” I gasped. The two boys turned at the sound of their given names. “Oh, SuAh-yah,” Kikwang waved, and then grinned when he saw a curious Bomi, “and who is your friend?”
“Back off, Kikwang-ah. That’s my cousin you’re hitting on,” I retorted. Kikwang laughed good-naturedly, while Junhyung smiled after swallowing another piece of dukbokki. “Nice to meet you, ah…”
“Yoon Bomi,” My cousin said, bowing her head a bit. Junhyung chuckled. “Nice to meet you, Bomi-sshi.”
“So what are you two doing here?” I asked. “The same season you guys are here for, to enjoy the festival.” Junhyung answered. Kikwang nodded in agreement, and then jutted his lip out. “Doojoon was supposed to meet us here, but I think he got lost or something.”
