Two weeks before the end of May and the boys were practicing their routine for their comeback that was scheduled for the first week of June.

As for the choreographer himself, he watched the two videos Myung Hee sent a couple of days earlier and called her back to let her know that he agrees, along with the rest of the dancers and the boss, that her friend fits the standards and that she could start right away as he announced her first gig.

Out of excitement and happiness for her friend, Myung Hee made a announcement, in the spur of the moment, that she would throw a surprise party to celebrate the arrival of their new member to the company and to the family. Some people were happy as others chuckled at her outburst but didn't mind having a party after their hard work.

As for the MBLAQ boys, they didn't know what was going on and were more confused when Myung Hee looked at Seungho and winked at him. He gave her a clueless look as to understand why she was looking at him until their choreographer told them that Myung Hee's friend auditioned a couple of days ago to become the new member of the dance crew.

“Myung Hee's friend?”

“Yea. She's a foreigner”

“Haylee?!”

“Ah, you know her?”

“Huh? Yea. I didn't know she auditioned… Yah! Myung Hee!”

Hearing her name, she went to see Seungho with a large smirk on her face, satisfied with his reaction. “Yes?”

“Since when did Haylee-”

“Don't worry, she didn't know she was doing it until I told her about it”

“Oh… Is that why you asked me if-”

“Yep! Knowing that you like her I thought that there wasn't any harm to bring her in. Plus, she does have what it takes and I know for a fact that you watched her the other day.”

“Wh-what are you talking about?”

“I'm an optimistic kid, Seungho. I'm not stupid. I saw you through the mirror. You're lucky enough she didn't see you~”

He sighs in defeat but couldn't hide his smile at the thought that he'll get to see more of Haylee from now on.

While he was still talking to Myung Hee, the other members were talking to their choreographer, curious to find out who was the new member and were shocked to see Haylee on the screen of the computer as they quickly recognized her, when they all gathered around to see the videos he was talking about.

Hearing the music coming out of the computer's speakers as well as seeing s all gathered around at the back of the room, Seungho went to see what they were doing even though he kind of knew that they were watching her first video since he recognized the music that was playing.

Though the comments coming up from s made him a little bit jealous, he quickly gave a slap behind G.O's head hearing his comment about… something. “Yah!”

“What was that for?!”

“I think Hyung is jealous ~” Seungho turned to Mir with his glare making the younger one swallow his words. “What are you talking about?”

At the beginning of the second video, he could hear whistles from and huffed, annoyed at the way they were acting by watching her move, even though, he couldn't deny it to himself that he did like the way she moved to the music.

G.O noticed the way he was looking at her and couldn't help but smile to himself, happy to see his friend this way. His mood did cheer up over the past couple of weeks and fell right into the moment Seungho first met Haylee.

Once they were done, Myung Hee got the permission of holding the party at the company, making it easier for everybody, since they were all present today. All that would be left were the drinks, the food and the time that it was going to happen.

Another small detail that was left behind was to actually tell Haylee that she made it into the crew, something that Myung Hee was reminded as she was about to leave to prepare for tonight.

The evening was coming to an end when the people from the company were slowly getting prepared.

The crew was present as well as the company's choreographers, the boss and some of other staff, including those who helped with MBLAQ's album and comeback. Even by now, the members came in along with their managers.

The music was on, some were drinking and eating while others were dancing and enjoying some conversations and random games. During that time, Myung Hee received a notice that Haylee was done for the day and that she would arrive at any minute, since the idea was to tell Haylee that her friend needed help with something.

Receiving the reply, Myung Hee prepared the others so they could hide while she would wait outside of the building. 

Haylee was walking down the street getting closer to the building when she saw Myung Hee waiting outside. From the looks of it, she did seem to be nervous and not really in a good mood.

Worried about what could possibly be going on, she ran towards her, hoping to be of any kind of help. “Hey, are you okay?”

“Hey! Yes, I'm fine, why?”

“Nothing… You just look like you've had a bad day.”

“Don't worry. Now that you're here-”

“Don't! Finish the sentence. Too cheesy.”

“Okay~”

She invited Haylee inside as Myung Hee led the way towards where the surprise party was being held.

During their walk, Myung Hee kept her busy by asking her about her day, having the conversation simple and as non-suspicious as possible. Luckily, with Haylee's excitement about another tour from the city she just did, she was completely oblivious to the true motive behind her friend's curiosity.

They finally made it in front of a closed door.

Myung Hee stepped to the side, letting Haylee open the door and as she did, the lights went on and the people filling the room burst out of their hidden spot screaming a big ‘surprise!’ making Haylee scream, jump and stumble as she backed away against the wall for support, along with her hand over her chest to catch her breath after her short ‘heart attack’.

“What the… MYUNG HEE!”

“Yes?”

“What's going on?”

MH: Well, since you got accepted and got already offered your first gig, I thought why not throw a surprise party to celebrate?

“Wait… I got in? I got accepted?!”

“Mhmm!”

She jumps on Myung Hee giving her a hug, surprising her friend, but not without hugging her back, satisfied with her response.

 Breaking their affectionate moment, Haylee turned to face the others as they congratulated her on making it. She thanked them with a bow as she received a drink from one of the dancers to start the celebration.

All through the night, people were enjoying their free night in their own way.

As for Haylee, she enjoyed her time by getting to know the people with whom she'll get to see everyday from now on. She was so caught up in the greetings and the congratulations that she didn't even have time to greet Seungho as all he could do was to look at her from afar, watching her every move as she met new people.

From time to time, she would steal a glance towards him and would smile when she would do so, but not once did they have time to properly talk to each other.

After realizing that he had a chance to kiss her the other night, all he has been thinking about were the ways that things could have turned out if he ever did kiss her. Would she push him away? Or kiss him back more passionately?

Not only this, but the moment he held her hand; the feeling that struck through him with this simple gesture made him go crazy.

From then, he knew that she was someone special, if a simple touch would make him weak to the heart.

He wanted to feel it again.

The spark that shone between them that night, he wants to experience it again. But right now, it didn't seem possible.

As the night went on, he was starting to get a little bit annoyed.

He wanted to go see her and just greet her like everybody was doing but was afraid of making his feelings too obvious to the others, not wanting to put her in trouble when she hasn't even started yet.

Fortunately enough for him, it was getting really late and one by one, people were starting to leave as they, once again, congratulated Haylee. Soon enough, the people that were left were the rest of the members, their managers, their choreographer, Myung Hee, Mike and obviously Haylee.

While the others were busy, with God knows what, Seungho walked towards Haylee, who was talking to Myung Hee. Seeing him approach, Cupid innocently smiles towards her friend and leaves, letting the other with a baffle expression as to why her friend was suddenly leaving her like this.

And that is when she heard someone cough behind her. She turns around and couldn't help but smile seeing the man that was finally standing in front of her. “Hi.”

“Hey”

“Enjoying the party?”

“Very much. Congratulations by the way. It kind of took me by surprise.”

“Thank you and to tell you the truth, it did to me too.”

As they kept the conversation flowing, they felt as if someone, or more as if a group of people, were watching them. Seungho slowly turned his head around, followed by Haylee, who did the same only to see that their friends were watching them, with wide grins on their faces. A little bit embarrassed, a tan of red covered their cheeks feeling as if they were under observation for something.

Wanting to be left alone with her, Seungho takes Haylee by the hand and walks out of the room, the movement being followed by the gazes of their friends.

“Wh-where a-are you taking m-me?”

“I want to show you something”

Just like the other night, he was gently holding her by the hand and once again, could feel the small spark running through their bodies as each of their heart beats accelerated, feeling each other's warmth. Looking up front, he couldn't help but smile wide while Haylee was seriously blushing with a deep shade of red covering her face.

Soon enough, they were in front of a stair case and walked all the way up until they arrived in front of a closed door. Seungho placed his hand on the doorknob, the other one not leaving her hand and opened the door, only to be faced with a romantic view of the city at night.

Stepping foot outside, Haylee couldn't have been more amazed with what was in front of her. “Wow…”

“This is the part we didn't get to see the other night.”

“Yea… Sorry about that.”

“For what? You didn't do anything wrong.”

She smiles at him as he carefully closes the door and makes her walk towards the edge of the building so she could properly enjoy her view. From far up front, she looks up and sees the stars that were brightly shining. Her smile never left as she was in awe with the nightly view Seoul was giving her.

“Beautiful.”

As for Seungho, he was looking at her instead, enjoying his view. “I know.”

A little bit further away, he found a spot where they could properly sit.

They walked away from the edge and sat next to each other. They haven't spoken yet as they were only looking in front of them enjoying the small breeze that was casually passing by. It sent shivers through Haylee's body and seeing as she was hugging herself, Seungho took off his jacket and carefully placed it around Haylee, startling her.

“You should keep it. Aren't you going to get a cold?”

“It's okay. You need it more than I do”

“Seungho, you –“

“I insist.” He softly smiles at her while she nods and thanks him as her only response and once again the silence fills their calm atmosphere. It went on for a moment until Haylee broke their silence by asking Seungho if he knew about the party

“Actually it was a last minute decision.”

“Really?”

“Mhmm. Myung Hee came in and got the good news and out of the blue decided to throw the party to celebrate.”

“It does seem like her…”

“Why didn’t you tell me?”

Oh, well, I didn't even know I was auditioning until Myung Hee told me a couple of days ago. Sorry.

“It's okay, at least we'll get to see much more of each other.”

“T-true.”

They spent the rest of the night on the roof not doing much but simply enjoying each other's company.

Despite of the cold weather outside, nothing could beat the warmth they were feeling by being next to each other. They weren't holding hands anymore, but nonetheless, their hearts were still thumping loud enough for them to hear.

From her shoulders, Haylee removed the jacket so she could place it back on his shoulders, feeling as if he was cold. She got up and carefully placed it back while Seungho looked at her with a certain glint in his eyes.

As she was about to sit back, out of the blue, he grabbed her wrist, startling her and surprising himself as well. “S-sorry.”

“It's okay. What's wrong?”

Without a word, he gently brought her back next to him so she could sit, but this time close enough so she'd get at least half of the jacket covering a part of her back.

“Sorry, the jacket isn't big enough.”

Hoping she would warm up a little bit, Seungho s his arm around her waist and brought her much closer to him, making her jump at the sudden skin ship. She placed her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes with her hands resting on her lap and not noticing Seungho looking at her with the same sparkle in his eyes.

One more move and he was ready to explode.

His heart couldn't beat any more faster than it is as he could faintly smell the sweet scent coming from her hair along with the smell of coconut running down her tanned skin. He closes his eyes, taking it all in and takes a deep breath, afraid of losing control and do something stupid and regretful.

She, on the other hand, couldn't stop smiling.

At the closeness, at the comfort, at the smell, at simply everything.

She couldn't remember the last time she felt this way about a boy, but then again, she never really got the chance to experience such a heart felt love.

He carefully turns his head towards her, still resting on his shoulder and could only see her lips. As tempting as it sounds, he couldn't help himself. Like the other night where he almost kissed her, he slowly leans in wanting to know how those pink lips would taste but this moment suddenly disappears when the door, behind them, suddenly bursts open with three unfortunately drunk people: Myung Hee, G.O and Mir.

At the sudden change, Haylee couldn't help but almost fall back on the ground, if it wasn't for Seungho who held a firm grip on her waist. The three drunken people where laughing out loud, completely unaware of what they just did, until Seungho caught their attention by loudly coughing.

As the three turned around, Myung Hee caught sight of her two friends and couldn’t help but giggle. “Oops!”

“Oh! Hyung! We were looking for you!” Leaning against the female dancer, Mir was the one that loudly spoke along with G.O who had his smirk widely spread across his face. “Oh~ Looks like dumb and dumber were about to ki-iss~”

“Yah! Who are you calling dumb?!” Feeling annoyed, Seungho got up from the seat along with Haylee who was quietly standing behind him, holding onto his jacket. The drunken friends started to laugh hysterically as they childishly starting singing the kissing song and jumping around at the same time.

“Stop it! How much did you guys had to drink?”

“Myung Hee, you have to work tomorrow, what the hell were you thinking?!” From looking at them, Seungho turned to face Haylee, apologizing for s’ behavior. “Sorry about that…”

“No need to apologize.” She smiled at him as they both went and joined the others who were still at the door joking around until Seungho slapped G.O and Mir behind the head to stop them.

“What was that for this time?!”

“We have work tomorrow! What was the point of drinking that much?!”

“Myung Hee, where is Mike anyways?”

“Downstairs cleaning the m-”

Before she was able to finish her sentence, she rushed down the stairs ready to throw up every drop of alcohol and food she ate for the day.

Before quickly following her behind, Haylee apologized to Seungho and left him with the other two as he was still glaring at them for ruining their little moment a couple of minutes earlier.

“And you were the one to call me Dumb & Dumber. You just ruined everything.”

He gave another light slap on both of their backs as they returned inside, closing the door behind.
