”You are mine.” The smaller boy nodded.

“And I am yours.” The taller stated as he took something out of the back pocket of his jeans. The smaller one tilted his head and looked at the other with questioning eyes.

“Give me your hand.” The taller ordered and the smaller one gladly obeyed.

The taller opened his palm to reveal two identical plastic rings.

“Now everybody will see, that you’re truly mine. You can tell all those admirers of yours, that they can’t have you.” The smaller one nodded again. They looked at each other directly in the eyes lovingly. The taller one pecked the smaller one’s lips softly and pulled him closer. They had never felt this happy and were hoping that the happiness would last forever.

But soon their happiness came crashing down, as the next day the smaller boy came crying to the taller that he would be moving out the small town they both had lived in until then.
