Donghae turned around and with a dreaded face “Hell no” he glared at him

 

“… Is that so…” he teased

 

Hae turned away “This is how I treat everyone. I like to keep business and private matters separate… D-Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’ve got a girlfriend” he answered unsurely “Actually I don’t, but maybe this will make him give up”

 

“Wow, for a grown man, you sure are one lousy liar” he turned to confront him

 

“I’m not lying! I’m serious!” he tried to be convincing

 

“Then look at me” Kyu suddenly said and he dashed towards him; cornering Hae to the door “Look me straight in the eye and say that again” he spoke firmly

 

Hae got pissed with his guts to say such things “I… really… honestly have a girlfriend so~” he stuttered and Kyu cut him off

 

“Liar!” he then locked their jaws together and his hand hooked his neck to pull him deeper

 

Hae immediately turned red with the sudden action “Let’s go” Kyu said as he pulled away, “What? What are… stop!” he dropped the storyboard on the floor as Kyu took hold over him “Stop…” was the only word he could plead out

 

They then crashed down the floor pinning Hae down the wooden floor, he mumbled and hummed as Kyu continued to smother him with his lips, they continued to kiss and Kyu would also invade Hae’s mouth with his slick tongue. With that Hae felt his heart beat hasten and his body rendering towards him

 

Kyu then undid his pants and his hand s inside his undergarment, “N-No… please stop! Cho-shi… ah! C-Cho… Cho… ah! I don’t want to!” he felt his hand took hold of him and Kyu didn’t listen to his plea and continued to jerk him off and Hae could only hold on to his shoulders

 

“You’re awfully into it for someone who doesn’t” he stated the fact that Hae was fully hard with his touch

“Stop…oh!” he kept panting and huffing out his breath

 

As Kyu continued to him, he leaned down to kiss him by the neck and Hae could only shiver with his touches; his eyes was kept wide open as he was being pleasured “Ah… Ah… Nnngh” he kept reacting

 

He drew near and he knows Kyu wouldn’t cease to it any longer. After a couple of minutes he trembled as he shot out his load; it splattered down the floor and he huffed as he gasped for air

 

Kyu then placed a hand on his head and ruffled his hair but Hae slapped his hand away and stood up “Lee” he was fended off

 

He never felt so weak at the very moment “I hate him. I have to leave, (Hey!) I don’t want to stay here a minute longer” he quickly took the storyboard and Kyu kept to call onto him to stop him from leaving

 

“Hey, Lee!” he keeps on trying

 

The door then clicked open as he was about to leave the room “I just want to go home, take a bath, and go to bed”

 

As he saw the door open he was shocked to see Sungmin in front of him “Bae-shi?” “Oh” he looked at him as he eyes were all teary

 

“What are you doing here?” Min asked

 

“Huh? Oh, um… I’m here on business” he answered right away

 

“We went over a storyboard together” Kyu spoke out for him

 

“Seriously…? It’s two in the morning, well, what are you doing here then?” Kyu wondered his sudden appearance

 

“I bought booze…” he showed the plastic bag he had in his hand “I told you I’d stop by, if you don’t show up, we’d never get to hang out”

 

“I came this late on purpose” Hae took the opportunity and slowly tried to make his exit

 

“Go home, you idiot” Kyu told Min

 

“Nah, I’m coming in” Min continued to barge in

 

“Thank you for your help. I’m leaving” he was close now to the door but

 

Min whispered something to him “Did he say something to make you upset? It doesn’t matter to him whether you’re new or experienced, if you do a half-assed job, he’s going to get you. So stop with the tears… your pathetic” Hae felt bad about those words

 

“You’ve got it all wrong~” he got cut off

 

“What are you two whispering about?” Kyu yelled at them

 

“I-I’m just going to go….” He stepped out the door

 

“Lee, I’ll call you later” he reminded him

 

“Please don’t!” he then slammed the door shut

 

And the time he got inside his room he felt himself heat up. His breathing became heavy and his body ached with the feeling… of being touched

 

“Why would Bae-shi visit this late? Why did Cho-shi let him in? And even after he molested me, too… He came this late on purpose, huh? No, now’s not the time… I need to read the storyboard again, and make sure that I can explain all the changes to Hyorin-sunbae”

 

He dropped the storyboard and sat down the floor “My body… it aches, everywhere Cho-shi touched, I burn with heat. I can’t… I can’t concentrate with my head spinning on this… Hyorin-sunbae deserves better, she gave it her all to finish this storyboard on time”
 

He tried to steady himself and think that he must do it for the author; he got up and took the papers “I’m not going to tolerate a half-assed job” he recalled the words

 

“Concentrate! I need to concentrate!” then his phone suddenly rang

 

“That’s right, I decided a long time ago that I would never fall in love with Cho-shi”

Only a little longer before the deadline

Hae was shocked with the answer he had from the phone “What? All of your assistants caught the flu?”

 

“A temp got all your assistants sick? Huh? Are you okay sunbae? Oh, I see. That’s a relief” he kept knowing the details but Kyuhyun and Henry kept on barging in the conversation “Where the hell is the manuscript?! Why isn’t it here already?!”

 

“Yes. Will you be doing the tones by yourself? Yeah…”

 

“I told you to go get it yourself if there was the slightest chance that it’d be late!”

 

Hae couldn’t keep on with their loud mouths “Excuse me, could you shut up for just one moment?!” he yelled back to them

 

“Um, I think you already know this, but the printing office needs out materials by noon today”

 

“Cho!” Min’s voice echoed in the department

 

“Why does this place look like a trash heap?” he gave a look around before speaking directly

 

“I heard our best author’s not gonna make it for this month’s issue. Is this true? If it is, you have to let the financial department know. Hell, you have to let everyone know!” he scolded

 

Hae was then concentrating on what to do to solve the situation “I can definitely be on a plane by five or six this evening and do the tones on the way” Hyorin said on the other line

 

“But you can’t take the cutter on board!” Hae reminded

 

“Ugh…” she was dumbfounded by the fact

 

“If I go pick up the manuscript and take the six o’clock flight back, I can be at Incheon airport by 8:30pm and if I make the taxi hurry, I should barely make it” he looked at the clock to check on the possibility

 

“Got it, just please hurry up with your manuscript” he told her

 

“Where does she live?” Min asked

 

“Mokpo”

 

“Seriously…? You’re fighting a losing battle here” Min placed down the fact

 

“When things get this bad, you need to make a quick decision or everything falls apart. I’d say drop her this time” he gave out his opinion

 

“Yeah, I agree~” he wasn’t able to continue

 

“Excuse me… please give me twelve hours to do this!” Hae pleaded for more time as he brought his things with him

 

“I’ll fly to Mokpo and be back around 9PM I’ll ask the printing office to push back the deadline and~” everyone was looking at him but Kyu interrupted “Just let it go”

 

“It’ll never work, there’s no way you can pull this off… Henry, bring me the list of our back up artists”

 

Hae felt desperate “Wait! Please! Hyorin-sunbae’s worked so hard, we can’t just~”

 

“Lee, it doesn’t matter if she’s “Worked hard” it’s not going to be enough this time, don’t get so carried away” he pointed out

 

“In a crisis like this, forget about yourself and face facts. That’s what being an editor all is about”

 

“I’ll make this work somehow, besides, Hyorin-sunbae’s on her way to the airport as we speak” he informed him about her

 

“Well then, you should know that a manuscript full of sketchy drawings with no tones is out of the question, emerald would never print it”

 

Hae couldn’t take it much more and time was running fast “I told you I’d get the manuscript! I never make promises I can’t keep!” he yelled out “Why should I listen to him?”

 

Kyu felt his strong determination for this and everyone at the department heard those words. “He sure got told” the people chattered at the scene

 

Kyu chuckled “Wow” Min praised “You’re really confident”

 

Hae glared at Min while Kyu took the time to decide “Got it, get going already, I’ll take responsibility if something goes wrong” he gave his authority

 

“Huh?” Hae was shocked as well as Min

 

“I told you get going!” he ordered

 

Hae left immediately at the permission “Uh, okay!”

 

“Hey now, Cho… have you lost your mind? This is a company, not a playground” he doubted the chances

 

But Kyu only sat back, trusting Hae’s words “Yeah, I know”

Meanwhile Hae arrived at Mokpo

He rushed right out “Is that, Hyorin-sunbae?”

 

“I’m Lee Donghae from SM publishing” he stood in front of her and he was stunned with the think clothing she had

 

“You’re dressed really warmly; I think we’ve only spoken on the phone before”

 

“I wanted to make sure I don’t get sick”

 

“Ah… I’m so incredibly sorry that you had to come all this way!” she kept bowing for his apology

 

“I don’t mind, how’s the manuscript coming along?”

 

They didn’t waste any time and went to the restaurant nearby “I still have fifteen pages to do” she placed the paper in front “Please help me as much as you can, we need to do the typesetting”

 

As they continued to do the typesetting and the details, he noticed the way she looks “She has huge bags under her eyes. Her glasses can’t hide them. I don’t think she’s slept at all and her face is all red”

 

“Cho-shi told me not to get carried away” he reminded himself

 

“Is she running a fever? Did she get the flu after all? I know that she’s reaping what she’s sowed, but as her editor, I fell I need to do whatever it takes to help her… I’m probably too soft” he felt himself being dragged down a bit with the thought

 

“What am I thinking? Who’s going to stand by the author if not her editor? Besides Cho-shi said he’d take full responsibility if something goes wrong so I can pretty much do what I want and everything will be fine. No wait, I see, if this falls through, I won’t have to shoulder any of the blame because Cho-shi~” he paused and recalled what he said “I’ll take responsibility if something goes wrong. Get going already!”

 

“If this one manuscript drags down the whole magazine, they’re all going to blame him and as her editor, who couldn’t even do this one thing, I won’t have any right to apologize to him. What’s more, it’s possible he was just being contrary because Bae-shi’s his rival” he placed a deep thought on to it

 

“Oh, that reminds me” Hyorin took his attention

 

“Yes...?”

 

“You corrections on the storyboard were a huge help, especially the flow of the panels on this page. I only noticed it was off after you pointed it out to me. I think this is the kind of thing only a set of fresh eyes could spot, so I wanted to thank you” he smiled at the gratitude

 

“I’m glad I could help you, but let’s concentrate on finishing this” he gave a warm smile

 

“Oh, right! Sure” they continued to finish the tones

 

“That was… one of Cho-shi’s corrections. I know I can’t be perfect right out of the gate, but all my enthusiasm really wasn’t worth squat. I did a half-assed job” he felt bad with himself

Meanwhile it was passed the adjusted deadline

“Cho-shi…! We really can’t wait any longer!” the representative from the printing noted

 

“Sorry, he’ll definitely be here soon” he kept himself composed

 

“This is it, give it up. You’ve run out of time”

 

“Cho”

 

“Let me just call him” he was about to, but Hae came in the room “Excuse me! I’ve got the manuscript” he ran inside

 

“You’re way too late!” the rep informed him

 

“I am so sorry! I got stuck with traffic!”

 

“Did you do the typesetting? And all the corrections…?” Kyu made a quick check

 

“Yes…! Everything…!”

 

“What about the final check?” he asked

 

“Yes! I did it three times!”

 

“Ok! I’ll take these to the printers! Thank you so much!” he ran off with the papers

 

Hae bowed as he departed and right after felt himself clomping but as he turned he saw the both of them looking at him

 

He bowed and apologized “Please accept my deepest apologies, it was my fault that things got out of hand, I didn’t do my job as an editor well enough. I was too wrapped up in my emotions and made a trouble for everybody this will never happen again”

 

“Oh, well. If that’s it, I need to get back to work” Min then made his way to their department

 

“But everybody’s already gone home, right?”

 

“Haven’t you every heard of the wondrous invention called the cell phone? I’ll see you later” he waved goodbye

 

“Thank you for your hard work!” Hae added

 

When Min left he had the guts to ask “Did Bae-shi stay here to wait for me?”

 

“Well it’s his magazine, too” Kyu sat at his seat

 

“He takes pride in it” Hae understood Min’s concern over the magazine

 

Kyu then lit up a cigar “Hey, chin up. We got the magazine already for printing after all”

 

“That’s not the problem here” he felt ridiculous with his comment

 

“Even if everyone was speaking out I know you’d come through” Hae wondered what he meant by that

 

“It’s not about whether you can or can’t do something when it comes to you. Because once you say you’ll do something, you’ll definitely do it, come hell or high water” Hae saw how serious Kyu’s words were

 

“So I had no reason to worry”

 

And at that moment Hae felt his world slowed down for a while “That’s what I’ve always loved about you” Kyu slouched at his seat and looked him in the eyes as he told those words

 

And Hae felt it. Kyu stood and walked to make his way out. He ran his hand from Hae’s forehead and through his head

 

“Good Job”

 

“Where Cho-shi touches me, I burn…” he lowered his head at the agonizing feel “…with heat”

 

“Please, don’t tear down any more of my barriers”

He rushed to the restroom afterwards

He splashed water into his face to get rid of the warm sensation he’s having

 

“Oh man! Get a grip already! Working in the Shoujo Manga section doesn’t mean I turn into a fair maiden!” he roughly wiped his face with the tissue

 

He was then chocked with his eyes nearly popping out at the sight of Sungmin standing behind him “Oh” he turned “Bae-shi sorry, I didn’t see you there did you~”

 

Min spoke before he could continue “You’ve got balls to snake your way into this company” “What?”

 

“Did you know Kyuhyun worked here?” he asked directly

 

“Huh? Sorry but I don’t follow”

 

Min gave a sharp glare to him “You do realize that it’s your fault Kyuhyun’s not himself anymore”

 

Hae was stunned with what he’s trying to point out “What? Seriously just what is supposed to be my fault… what the heck is he trying to say?” “Um, sorry I really don’t understand”

 

Min then felt hopeless with it and took off “Just don’t let it go to your head”

 

“Um?” he tried to know more but Min was gone

 

“What? you’re still here?” Kyu’s voice was audible

 

“I’ve got work to do!”

 

“Bae-shi calls Cho-shi by his first name”

On their way home

Kyu and Hae sat beside each other on the train “I’m glad things turned out okay”

 

“Sorry about everything” they both kept looking at the papers they have in their hands

 

“This comic is going to be published next month you know how to do the color proofs, right?” he passed the envelope “Oh, yes. I’ll be fine”

 

“I wonder… how much Bae-shi knows. Not that I know what’s going on between them in the first place but then again” he was nodding off “Oh man, why am I so tired all of a sudden?”

 

“I can’t exactly ask Cho-shi about it, not that I would anyway” “I’m also thinking about putting you in charge of the magazine the month after next”

 

Kyu noticed him “Hey, are you listening? Lee~” Hae’s head then fell onto Kyu’s shoulder sound asleep and Kyu… felt at eased on having him rest at his side

 

“But if I did ask him, I wonder what he’d say… what I’d want him to say… I wonder”

It was morning

The sunlight hit Hae’s face and the light glistened as he opened out his eyes

 

“Man, I slept well… what time is it?” he got up “Where’s my watch” he rummage at the bed

 

And then paused to see Kyuhyun sleeping in the bed topless or… even more

 

With a snap Hae yelled like crazy and pulled the portion of the blanket “Shut your trap! Stop yelling!” Kyu woke at the very loud voice

 

“W-why the hell are we sleeping at the same bed?” he asked hysterically

 

“Shut up! You fell asleep on the train, you idiot! I carried you all the way home on my back and put you to bed, and this is the thanks I get? And you’re not exactly light either!” Hae got out of bed and hunted down his clothes on the floor, “Wh-what the hell? I don’t remember anything”

 

“… it’s still early” he got up and looked at the clock

 

“Uh, um… I’m just asking, but there was absolutely no weird hanky-panky, right?”

 

“Weird hanky-panky…? What do you mean?” Kyu wondered

 

“Uh, you know”

 

They both stared at each other for a while before Kyu answered to his question “And if there was? If you like me, it’s all good, right?” he confidently said and made Hae turn bright as a tomato

 

“I’m leaving! Thanks for looking after me last night! If something like this happens again, please don’t bother!” he rushed to leave with just his clothes on

 

“Calm down! He’s just pulling my leg! We didn’t do anything! B-but if we did… he gets me so riled up!” he was pulling on his door until he realized something “My key… and my bag…”

 

He then slammed right inside Kyu’s room and as he did he immediately saw Kyu handing over his bag “I’m going to come right out and say this. There must be something wrong with you, I’ll never ever say I love you… because there’s no way I’m falling for you!”

 

Hae confidently told him but Kyu just pointed his cigar to him and said “Yeah, right”

 

“I seriously hate his guts!”

 

 

“This is not love! It’s not! No way! How could it be…?!” he was still not convinced that it is
