She ran and ran and ran. As fast as her feet could go. The rain was pouring hard, causing the road to be wet and slippery, so naturally, she tripped. She sobbed hard, a stinging pain on her ankle.

“Little girl, are you okay?” A woman held an umbrella over her. She looked up at the woman, still sobbing lightly. The woman gave her a kind smile, “Where are your parents? Why are you alone, in the rain, nonetheless?” The woman gave her a worried look.

The little girl then muttered, “My umma and appa are gone...” She then sobbed more, causing the woman to hug her, despite the girl being wet and assured her. “Shh.. I’m sorry to hear that, you’ll be fine, I’m sure of it..” The little girl looked up again and nodded hesitantly.

“So, what’s your name, little one?” The woman asked, smiling nicely at her. The little girl hesitated, yet, the woman did comfort her earlier, besides, she looks like a nice person. “I’m _____-ah..” She whispered, audible enough for the woman to hear. The woman smiled. “Then, _____-ah, would you like to live with us?”
