Dreams
Jack Frost
Sometimes, when your mind is in a state of sheer panic, you will recall the strangeness of a situation which you never realized before, when you were too enraptured by the present.
“Hey Luhan, can I take a picture of you for one of my photography assignments?” Sehun had asked Luhan a few weeks back.
“Ah… well, if it’s for school…” Luhan’s reply had been reluctant, but Sehun didn’t pick up his unease.
Sehun directed Luhan to stand in the middle of the parting of trees in the snowy woods.
Later, after the two returned to the cabin, Luhan averted Sehun by walking into the bathroom. Caught in the throes of excitement, Sehun didn’t notice the lack of Luhan’s presence in the photo.
Now, he remembers the omnipresent whiteness, the heavy cover of snow.
It was already too late. Luhan’s lifelong home had been burned to ashes.
