CHAPTER 20

Seohyun stood unmoving, her feet frozen to the ground. She couldn’t bear to watch the hurt look painted on Jonghyun’s face. Jonghyun had always been there for her. He was there when she needed help. He was there when she needed someone to cheer her up. He was always there like a shadow that never disappears even without the light. But as she stood there at the moment in front of Jonghyun, Seohyun felt he’s slowly disappearing.

“It’s okay.” Jonghyun said with a tone filled with sadness. “I’ve waited for you Seohyun. And I can wait longer even if it takes forever.”

If a crowd still surrounds them, the people in the crowd would have shed tears instead of squeal. But Seohyun and Jonghyun were alone. The balloons were gone. The beautiful song can no longer be heard. There were no stuff toys or roses in sight.
