Realities' Secrets
Description
Welcome to Shirin, a city full of wonders and the wealthy. Lily, raised by scientist who were the closest to achieving a human with contractor abilities. Yuki, a contractor with a normal teenage life and attitude. These two are best friends and live a peachy, healthy life, up until twelve beautiful Exiles popped in. The biggest problem being the angel, who has to be evil in some way, I mean how can angel be such a jerk! And then there's that dragon, who nags too much. I swear these two must have personality disorders.
Background
Humans aren't alone. No, I'm not talking about aliens, there are things in this world that the governments have all agreed to keep hidden. There's another thing, contractors, people who can see the secrets and lies, they are emotionless and again, not human. Even so, there have been a few experiments with human abilities close to those of the contractors.
Angels and contractors are in charge of exterminating demons and anything else that would dare to harm humans. Let's just say neither species can stand the other. There are a few who never fit the criteria for this specific job, they're labeled off as Exiles, the outcasts of their kinds and/or species. Humans with special abilities are automatically added to the list.
Foreword
The figure hidden by the veil, only allowing its shadow to be seen, exhales smoke while speaking,
"Welcome, how may I be of service?"
"I want revenge!"
"Of course, why else would a darling like yourself, come to a Dealer?"
The teenage girl takes a defensive stance, accompanied with a brave facade, "This isn't a joke, Dealer."
"Of course not Deary!"
The Dealer's glowing red eyes and sly smile had become visible through the veil, "Tell me the price you are willing to pay."
"I will give you half of my life," tears had begun to surface.
"Hmm, that is a very generous offer...who am I to harm?" His face had exacted a look of confusion for less than a millisecond, quickly being replaced with a permanent grin, "Keep in mind, Dear, I cannot kill. We can provoke suicide though."
"No do not kill them."
The grin had become a stern line on the figure. "Them?"
"I need them to feel a pain that can never be erased! It cannot be of physical means either."
The Dealer had become impatient, fidgeting with the pipe in its hand, "Tell me. What? Actually, most importantly, who?" It had picked up on the fact that this teenage girl was no weak human.
"Psh, well I only give half of my lifespan because they are not human."
In a detestful tone,"Exiles? I presume."
She claps her hands, "Exactly! Both have abilities, one can control fire, the other a telekinetic freak."
"Before we continue," a parchment had begun to appear in front of the girl, floating in midair,"You must sign...as a formality."
Before the Dealer could speak again, she had already signed the parchment, "I will pay upfront."
The glowing red grin had grown ever so larger. "Well, you do know that even if the revenge is not carried out to your liking , we are not to be held liable, correct?"
"I know, just make those two suffer."
"Since there was no specification, you will handle it personally, with any help that my abilities will allow. But if Fate does not allow it, then it is not within my power."
"Of course, I am a demon, after all."
"Are you sure that was a wise? Fate has never favored your kind."
"That's why I have you, Dealer, as insurance." She left, leaving an ominous aura behind.
The figure sat back down looking at the parchment, signed Benehime.
"This has gotten interesting...Kris and Luhan. Dragon and Angel, both Exiles."
The figure began to laugh hysterically, "I wish you luck! Demon."
