Chapter 8
Addicted to you
"You know, i havent bought the x-men omega yet" Jonghyun said
"Chinchia? ?"
"Yeah chinchia?" Jonghyun smiled at her" Why does her heart always
beat faster, whenever her smiles at her. She decided to just ignore it
"Waeyo, have you read it?"
"No, actually haven't read it. Did you know i saved up some money for two
months?" He said, she suddenly felt guilty. She could imagine him starving
himself, walking to school to save up his money. She knew he didnt came from
a rich family like her. His grandmother only owns a piggery and poultry business
that his hyung manages in the farm.
"I know this is probably five years too late, but im sorry ok?" Jonghyun chuckled
"Dont worry, you cant leave till you pay for what you did to me"
"Is that so?"
"Yep!"
"Aish, ppali just tell me what do to!" Jonghyun just grinned at her
"Dont you give that grin! i dont trust you!" She narrows her eyes at him.
They were watching a movie about a robot boy called David, who was
adopted by a marriage couple. But the real child of the couple envied David,
he wanted get rid of him. Thats when David started his adventure. All
david wanted was to be with his adopted mother. Near the end of the movie,
Yoona was already tearing her eyes out. She felt pity of David, she could
relate to him. When she was at his age, she did all she can ,to get close with
her mother. David was lucky though that the mother loved him back. While her
mom didnt even notice her.
"Yah!" Jonghyun shouted laughing abit
"I didnt know you were a cry baby" He said chuckling.
Yoona turned around hiding her face from him, she wiped her tears.
"Shes such a witch!" she mumbled but felt really annoyed. She got suprised
when a box of tissue appeared infront of her.
"Here use this" Jonghyun said, Yoona wiped her tears.
"Thank you" Yoona said
Jonghyun opened to ask something but quickly closed it. He
took a deep breath before saying something.
"Your mom is a witch?" He asked "Sorry.."
"Its okay" She said "Lets just say that were not exactly best of
friends. Jonghyun just nodded and decided not to ask any further. She
silently thanked him for not pressing the issue. He just turned off the t.v.
"Do you want to eat?" Jonghyun broke the silence
"I'll make you a sandwitch
Yoona couldnt help but smile. How could she resist the opportunity to
watch a handsome guy do something so domestic for her?
He smiled at her too. She felt her heart leap to . They
both went to the kitchen.
"Tuna or ham and cheese?" Jonghyun asked
"Tuna" She answered while sitting down on the stool in the counter. She
watched Jonghyun who looked like he was trained well. She stared, fascinated
with the movement of the muscles on his arms as he open the can of tuna with the
can opener.
"You know how to cook?" She asked, Jonghyun grinned
"Of course, Halmoni made sure i did, I also know how to clean, wash clothes
and iron" He said looking very proud of himself
"With onions?"
"Yeah, Im not really going to kiss anyone so its okay" She said while smiling
"If im the on who will kiss you, Even if you eat a whole onion id still kiss
you" Jonghyun said grinning
"Kyaaaaah!, i cant handle thiis!" She squeeled on the inside. He quicky dropped
the cut up onions on the bowl with tuna, he put the chopping board and knife
on the sink and washed his face. Yoona giggled
"Its so sad isnt it?" She joked, Jonghyun looked at her, water dripping
on his face.
"Id like to see you cut up some onions, lets see if you wont cry" He took
the hand towel from the counter and wiped his face quickly. And again she
unknowingly observed him again. She often wondered how he could be so gentle
and be so much a man at the same time. Everything about him seemed to
fascinate her.
She was to herself when Jonghyun pinched her nose. He chuckled at her
"Keep looking at me at me like that and youl get yourself kissed, little lady"
Yoona felt her cheeks burn. She glared at him to make it not notice
"Pssh. Your not my type" She said, Jonghyun was still smiling at her
"LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!" he said, Yoona rolled her eyes at her
"God oh jesus, will you take me from this place i beg youuu" She shouted
in her mind
Jonghyun then suddenly leaned her face close to her. So close she could smell
his fresh breath. Thank god she could only see amusement in his eyes. She could
deal with laughter and amusement. He smiled that seductive smile that made her
knees weaken. She nearly bit her upper lip if she didnt control herself.
It was one of her bad habits. She force herself to stare at his eyes to tel
l him know she not affected by his charms
"Who are you kidding? "She said in her head "As long as he doesnt know it.
! I hope he cant hear my heart racing."
I think her acting worked. Jonghyun just wink at her and left her be. He
went back to what he was doing while she tried to calm herself down. The guy
was hazardous to her nervous system!
"Do you want to watch a movie?" He asked, it was one minute passed till
she realised what he just said.
"Movie?" She asked, She saw him squeezed lemon juice on tuna and
springkled some black pepper
"Yup, You want to go with me?"
Yoona went quite for a while " Is he asking me out on a date?"
"Yoona?" Jonghyun said, he had his one eyebrow raised " Why are you so quite?"
"I was just thinking" She said
I think Jonghyun knew what she was thinking " Yes Yoona, Im asking you out
Yoona nearly fell off of her stool at what he just said. She closed her eyes for abit.
Jonghyun laughed at her shocked expression.
"Dont look so shocked its just a movie"
Yoona blinked a couple of times, She was acting like a silly sixteen- year
old. She wrinkle her forhead and thought for a moment
"Not a date" She confirmed him
He studied her expression and shook his head " Nope not a date-date.
This is totally between friends" He assured her. She doesnt know if she
should feel happy or sad about it.
"What is it with you Yoona, make your mind up. Its either you want
him or you don't" she said to herself.
But she did want him. She just didn't want to take the risk. Maybe its
better if they just stay as friends. Maybe she would stop being to
fasinated with him in time.
"Okay" She said
"Great! How about tommorow night?"
"Okay" Just a few moments, he gave her the tuna sandwitch. She then took a bite
"Yummy" Jonghyun grinned at what she said. He looked very happy.
It was the best tuna sandwitch she had ever tasted. Not because it was
delicous but because he made it for her. Just the thought of his hands
making it for her made her smile. She finally laughed when he made her
some ice tea.
It was indeed the best midnight snack ever.
"Lets bring this to your room" she said " Theres a x-men evolution at
11:30 on cartoon network"
Jonghyun chuckled and smiled
"You're really one of a kind" He said
