Yoona pushed the legal-sized white evelope on the table towards her mother. Which she barely looked at.

'What's that?' her mom asked serious

“Twelve million dollars' She didn't have any expression on her face, but deep inside she

was nervous.This wasthe last favor she vowed to ask from her mother.

Her mom raised her eyebrows, she didn't actually know how to accept what her daughters doing

'Why are you doing this?, Yoona' Her face was still expressionless

'Are you trying to flaunt it in my face?'

Yoona let out a exasperated laugh.

'Give me a break umma. If I was trying to show off, I wont give this to you' She said

'After all I did to you? Why?'

'Maybe i'm just stupid?'

'What do you want, Yoona?' Her mom asked directly

'Amother maybe?' Yoona said sarcatically

' A little respect? Hell, I don't know' This isn't going too well.. Well actually since when has

it been 'well' whenever they see each other. Yoona looked at her. Too beautifull, too sophisticated,

too elegant.. She cant imagine her eating street food stool. Her mother was everything she wasn't.And by

God, she was glad she wasn't her mother!

' I'm getting married' She said

'So?'

'I want you to be there, umma' When she didn't say a word, Yoona took a deep sigh

'For once, umma, be straight with me. Why do you hate me so much?

She stared at her for a while. They were at a high class restaurant in busan . Yoona chose

the place so her mom wont make a scene just incase she gets annoyed or angry again.

'I dont hate you, Yoona' her mom said after a while. Her expression was normal but she can still see

that theres full of resentment in her moms eyes.

'I just hate what you represent' She took a deep long sigh

'I grew up with your grandfathers parents. When my dad died. My grandad took me away

from my mother. They weren't approve of mom ever since, She fought for me but.. anyway, I

still presisted that I wanted to stay with her during highschool. Then I got pregnant, grandad

got mad. And they showed me my mistakes and all. So I resented you'

'All these years I did everything for you to hate me, too. But you're hard headed' she smiled bitterly

'You just kept on doing better. Becoming a better person than I ever was and I grew even more jealous'

' You're jealous of me?' Yoona said shockingly. Her mother's twisted into a wry smiles. She

saw how deep the recentment in it.

'You thought I didn't know how much your grandmother loved you?. I know all your

achievements. Yoona, I also know that you're the one that pays for you education and

you dont ask for help from your grandmother. And no matter what I do , I could never break

your spirit. I guess in my own sick way. It was my way of my revenge for your appa. I was never

like you, you know, I didn't have your guts, your spunk. I was a rich brat who became a ' She

smiles- a genuine smile that made her grin.

'Well, you made me who I am, umma. If it werent for you, I never would have met Jonghyun

again, if you forced me to marry Eunhyuk.

Her umma smiled back

'I'm so sorry for being a bad mother, Yoona. When you said you were pregnant and you wont

be like me, that's when I realized how bad of a mother I was to you. You're a product of the

mistakes I made. Not the other way round. I got too carried away with grandfather. And took it on you '

And for the first time in her adult life, her mother held her hand. It was simple gesture but

it made her cry.

'For what its worth, Yoona. I'm very proud of you'

'Thanks umma'

They both stood up and gave each other hugs. They didn't care if people were looking at them.

'I take it that everything went well?' Jonghyun asked smiling when Yoona entered the room at there suite.

'Yup' She replied happily while she was walking towards him. He was on the sofa

reading the X-men omega comic book. He looked good in his shorts and t-shirt. Looking

at him, she couldn't believe he was a multi- millionaire. He drove a 98 Toyota Corolla ate dobokki

in street stool, bought french fry corn dog by the side walk, for god sake! And, oh, how she loved

him even more for all those things!

He move aside abit on the sofa and made her sit next to her'

'C'mon tell me what happen, I can tell you're aching to tell' he said when she sat down he

hugged her and told him everything

'She still thinks your pregnant?' amused at his question

' I forgot tell her' she said laughing

' I'll just call her later'

'Aniya nevermind that' he put on a cheeky grin on his face

'And besides, that can be remedied' He burried his face into her neck. He trailed kisses to

' Lets just do something about it, like right now. You know i'd hate to dissapoint my

future mother in law' She only laughed when he layed her down on the sofa.

'Oppa I love you' Yoona said smiling. Jonghyun frozed and looked at her

'What?' She said while laughing

'Then he started to smile

' Thats the first time you ever told me that

She smiled back

'So how did I do?'

'You did great' he smiled lovingly at her

' And Yoona, I love you too'
