“Hello? Is this Mrs. Lu? I just want to inform you that, Mr. and Mrs. Zhang and their son are here in the District Hospital. Please come here urgently thank you.”

“O.. Okay, th- thank you” your Auntie Mirrah sighed and..

“Mom, who’s that? Any problems?” LuHan asked

“Change your clothes quick.” She said while rushing to her room

“But why? What’s happening? We’re not done yet with our homeworks?” You said scratching your head

“Lei Yi. What’s more important, Your homeworks or your family?” Your Auntie said, uneasy

 You rushed to the Emergency Room but the nurse controlled you, you saw your parent’s there. And their whole body is covered with blood.

 It’s Saturday and earlier that day, your mom will go somewhere and you want to go with her but she didn’t allowed to join you because she said that she has a surprise to you. And you waited for her and for that surprise. It’s already Seven in the evening then suddenly your Auntie Mirrah received a phone call. She asked you to changed to your everyday clothes and you went to the hospital. You’re very surprised because you saw your father and your mother together, in that tragic situation. Your father is working at States together with your auntie’s and uncle’s so you really missed him. You saw two other guys who are with the same situation with your parents but you didn’t mind, you keep crying and crying and your cousin LuHan is comforting you, and you’re both praying.

 On the other hand, the nurse called your Auntie because your mom requested. Your mom asked her to bring Yixing to the much better hospital so that there’s more chance of surviving so your Auntie Mirrah fixed everything without informing you.

The whole E.R were doing their best, but then they declared that.. You’re father can’t make it. He’s gone already. You cried two times harder than before. And after twenty minutes, the doctor went outside and told you the most darkest word that you can ever hear. They’re both gone, both of your parents leaved you already.     

“They’re been involved to a car accident, when they’re roaming the Zigzag roads. The truck on the opposite side of the road lost it’s control, that’s why the truck hit their car. The boy is sitting on the passenger seat and he’s hugging a stuff toy while the adults are sitting on the middle. They’re luggage are on our vehicle and the stuff toy as well.”  The police discussing what happened on your auntie

“We’ll get it. Thank you very much, I don’t know what to say right now.”

 - - Two days later..

“Oh Lay please.. You can do it, your sister is waiting for you.” Your auntie hold his hand and prayed

The respirator increased it’s rate and your auntie called the doctor and the nurse. The other nurse assist her, the doctor looked at his wrist watch and.. Time of death

"Hi!" You heard a very unfamiliar voice in the side of your locker. 

You closed your locker apparently and "Uhmm.. Hello? Sorry, but may I ask who are you?" You asked him, trying not to be harsh in the new person in front of you. 
"I'm a new student here!" Yixing said, showing his name plate 
"Yeah~ you are a new student. And Zhang Yixing I see. I have to go now! Nice meeting you eh?" 
"I'm your guardian for five days!" He exclaims and you saw his dimples 
*Why does his dimples are same like mine?* "What are you trying to say?" *Damn his creepy I have to run.*

When you're already in the first block before the third block were the bus stop’s located.. "Damn he's really creepy. And why would I need a guardian? I'm fine though?" You're very shock when you looked at your back, you saw him 
"I'm your brother." 
"What are you saying?! I don't have a brother! Are you crazy?!" You yelled at him
"Yeah, I know that you'll never understand what I'm talking right now, wait until Friday." He said with sadness in his face "I'll just enjoy the time they given to me to see and to talk to you." 
"Okay. I'll just let you follow me and like what you said guide me okay?" He looks at you and you look at him too. *Why does.. he look's like me?*

“And oh, may I ask. Where are you from? I mean, where do you live?”  You asked him, narrowing your eyebrows

“It’s a secret.”

“What?! Okay. I’ll not bug you about that.”

"So we're here, that's my house. And maybe auntie is there already. I bet she's waiting for me. So, where are you going home?" You said pointing your house using your thumb  
"Yeah I know. My regards for auntie okay? Bye!" He runs
"Wait!! Hey!! What the eff seriously, is it me or..? Whatever I'll just let him." You entered your house and you see your cousin LuHan, sitting on the floor working on his assignments.
"Hi Lulu Gege!! Where's auntie? Is she home already?" 
"Oh hi Lei Yi!! Mom just texted me that she'll be coming home late tonight." Lulu informs you
"Oh I see." *Why now auntie? Why?*

You waited for your auntie until 10pm but you can't handle your eyelids already. "Literally late, and oh maybe Zhang Yixing is right, okay let's sleep now"

 

- - FASTFORWARD - -

 
"Friday." You said to yourself as you saw the calendar on your night table.
You've already build a friendship with Zhang Yixing, and you felt that he really is your brother. During vacant, you'll cross their classroom and he'll wave at you grinning, and you'll grin back. Your friends would ask who is he and you even told them that he is your brother and you'd just told them he's from abroad. He said that he'll be your guardian for five days, and today's the fifth day. You're sad, because you really enjoyed the three days that he's guiding you. He made you laugh, and because he is your guardian. He told you some motivational stories and tips for your studies, which you'll definitely treasure.

"So, today's the last day." 
"Yeah, be careful with your life okay? We'll see each other there someday. I will really miss you, I'm very thankful that they let me visit you." He smiles 
"Thank you for guiding me. I may sound harsh to you last Monday but right now, I don't want you to go." 
"I'm glad to hear that from you. See you soon. I need to go now my little sis, and she's already inside! I bet she's waiting for you, and you'll know it now. Good bye~" He ruffles your hair and he hugs you
"I hate you! You're making me cry!" You punch his arms
"Aw don't cry little sis, don't worry! But.. I really have to, goodbye~" he runs right away but his waving at you 
"You made me cry, I introduced you to my friends as my brother, but.. Once again, who are you?" You wiped your eyes and you went inside, surprised that you saw your auntie, wiping the dishes 
"Oh hi Lei Yi dear!" She welcomes you with a smile on her face 
"Oh God thank you very much! She's home!" 
"Why dear? Do you have a problem?" She asked, putting the down the plate and she looks at you. 
"Auntie, tell me. Who is Zhang Yixing?" You asked her with your most serious voice 
"I think this is already the time."

"Yes auntie. It's already the time."

She sighs "Zhang.. Zhang Yixing is.. Your, brother."

"Why did mom and dad didn’t told me that I have a brother? And how does it happened?!" You said with little tears on your eyes

"Come here dear.. Remember the day when your mom and dad left you? Remember what your mom said? She had a surprise to you right? Then that surprise is your older brother. Yixing is seven years older than you, when your parents had their second wedding anniversary they decided to visit Auntie Ysabelle in the states, and since your mom is seven months pregnant during that time, and they will stay there for six months. Auntie Ysabelle asked your mom to leave Yixing there for awhile so that he can have a better study. And so your parents agree, thinking for your brother's future. And last year, when Auntie Ysabelle is diseased, she asked your dad and your brother to go home already so that finally Yixing can be finally introduced to you. Because she said that she doesn't want to die that you and him haven't met. And remember that you want to join your mom on the day that they left right? She's going to the airport that day and she'll pick-up your father and your brother. She texted me that the three of them are already together and your brother is so excited to see you, but then that awesome surprise turned to be the most tragic and the darkest experience you ever had. And I think even more tragic now because you knew about your brother and you’re not able to meet him.  "

 

"But why does mom and dad didn't introduce me my brother?"

 

"Because they’re thinking that you may not accept him, because you’re really a brat when you’re still a kid. And also, they want to surprise you."

 

"Seriously, why does they have that kind of thinking during that time?"

 

"They’re just both worried to the both of you. By the way dear, how did you know about your brother?"

 

"He guided me auntie. For five days."

 

"What do you mean?"

 

"He's here on earth for five days and he even go to the same school as me, and he told me that his very thankful that 'they' allowed him to see me. He sent me home and he even told me awesome motivational stories and funny tips for my studies."

"Really? Maybe this is what your mom saying, she told me before she catches her last breath that before I give infos to you about your brother, I need to wait for the right time. Oh my goosebumps! I think you need to visit them? And send prayers for them, specially for Lay~"

 

"Lay?"

 

"Oh~ Yixing's English name, that's why they named you Zhang Lei Yi. They based it to your brothers name."

 

"Oh~ my heart auntie. Oh this is funny I'm crying a river. I missed him already, I can't wait to be with them. But I still have things and I still have a lots of dreams to finished here."

 

"And don't leave me and LuHan! HAHAHA Don't worry, I'll show you the photos of him and his things, we’re enable to retrieve their luggage when the tragedy happened. I told Auntie Ysabelle about what happened and she informs me that Lay have things to be given to you. "

 

"Really? Thanks auntie!"

 

 

Your Auntie Mirrah asked for Lulu’s help and you went to the storage room, you saw your brother’s luggage and you saw that pink Teddy Bear on the top of it. Your auntie informs you that Lay’s hugging that while they’re on their way home, and he’ll give it to you. But it’s smothered with his blood that’s why she washed it. You saw the purple Beats by Dr. Dre headphones which he wore this past few days.

 

While flipping through your brother's photos, you saw three white feathers on the box where the photographs are located, you smiled and.. "Mom, Dad and Lay gege. We'll be together someday."

 

- - Lei Yi’s P.O.V - -

 

Even though it makes me sad again, I'm glad that I have a brother and thankful too that they allow him to see me. I know that he's still guiding me as well as my parents. I know that my parents still did their best to survive my brother until the end. That's why they asked auntie to send him in a better hospital, but maybe that's already the time. I understand, I'll just see him there and we'll have great times there.
