JiYoung feels tired enough to take 11 hour long flight. But he has no choice. While the rest of the members enjoyed their vacation in Paris, he is the only one to go back because of schedule for his solo work. Being travel alone is boring, to kill this 11hour he need his monkeys. At least, SeungHyun or Seungri but not Yaung Bae who would read bible throughout the time. 

He put on ear plug and tried to get sleep. It’s the best thing to kill time when there’s only boring movies. He fell asleep for a time he didn’t know, even dreamed about his promised vacations and Gaho (his pet) chewed and peed on his figurines.

But he suddenly woke up with strange feeling. Someone’s looking at him. Being looked by people is not a new thing for him. But this time he felt something unfamiliar. He lifts his head from arm of the seat and look around.

Almost everyone around him are seem sleeping, except for the man behind who chewed snacks noisily while watching movie and the girl who is just beside him isle apart. She seriously writes something and like not even a single attention to the world. He sighed deeply and returned to his dream world.

JiYoung opened his phone as soon as he gets into the back seat of car. He wants to make sure he heard her sweet voice. But there were several voice mails and messages. He looked them with frown. Some of them are from his friends but most of them are from Kiko. Why she bothered to call him even she knows he avoids her. When he saw the last voice mail, his eyebrow relaxed and he chuckled. He opened and listened to her sweet voice.

“Oppa , I know you just reach and I want to make sure you hear my voice as soon as you set a foot into Seoul again. Miss you so …. So.. so.. so..  much.’

Voice message ended and he left smiling. JiYoung talked with her until he have the last call of boarding but he still miss her and she also send him voice message. What a sweet girl.

But his face become stiffened when he get thinking that her love is not for him. He gazed his phone and saw her sweet smile on his wall paper.

“Why you are so lovely baby girl. That kills me “he muttered alone.

He dialed numbers and wait for the tone. Finally her sweet little voice appeared on line.

“Oppa. …” she answered in surprised tone. 

“I thought you were just in air.” She continued with giggled.

JiYoung feel his heart is filled with happiness whenever he hard her voice.

“Minji-ah where are you now. I got presents for you. I’ll come to you now”

ChaeRin’s heart beat faster as she walked into the hospital but she tried to keep her coolness outside. She’s not certain why she do that but the crystal clear reason is she don’t want to regard as she feels before.

She walked straight to the room where he would wait without looking around. When she stepped in front of a glass door she takes a deep inhale. The girl sitting behind the desk stood as she saw ChaeRin but ChaeRin didn’t give a damn and just walk straight to the next room where she saw a man is sitting behind a grand mahogany desk. She stormed into the room and hissed

“Now you look good, why’d you lie to me?”

He looks up at her and straightened his arm to her without standing.

“Come here my girl I want to give a hug.” He said with weak voice and his face show pleading.

ChaeRin hesitated for a seconds but she take a step and jumped into his arm.

“You know what, I thought every worst thing that could happen all my way back to here” she said with trembled tone and she felt tears pooled in her eyes but she winked it away.

“I don’t lie to you sweetheart. “ He said as he pulled some papers from drawer and handed them to ChaeRin

“Those are my investigations record and more than that I know my situation very well” he continued.

ChaeRin read them and shook her head unbelievingly

“No, Appa… No.”

“Yes, sweetheart. I’ve got stage 3 colon cancer. I have not much time left. Come back to me. Come back to your family”

ChaeRin hold her breath and stood for a second.

“I already decided to come back Appa. Because I don’t want to regard as I was with mom. But I can’t live with the witch under same roof. Sorry for that. Besides I’ll be in town so I can stay near you. And from my knowledge your condition is not that miserable. Stop being that dramatic Appa.” She smirked and sits beside him.

“And don’t tell the witch I’m in town. She’ll get fit by knowing this” she added.

“Oppa!!” Minji throw herself into his arms and giggle with joys as she get in the car and shut the door.

It’s been long time that she didn’t see JiYoung. JiYoung laughed lightly and patted her head. He holds her back and studying her fairy like face.

“You become thin” he creases her face softly.

“Miss me.” He said with teasing voice.

Minji giggle and pushed his arm.

“Yahh!! How can I miss you when you call every single minute. You didn’t give me time to miss you.”  She said amusingly.

“But SeungHyun Oppa didn’t call me. Did he forget me? Didn’t he?” her face suddenly becomes sad.

JiYoung raised his eyebrow and defense

“No, it’s not like that. He’s busy with his schedule. He will come to you as soon as he comes back. “He said and patted her back lightly. 

“Hey, look I got those for you. I know you like them little kid.”  He handed a velvet case and inside there Chrome Hearts pins are glitter.  Minji’s eye shines and she smiled widely

“Omo. Oppa , you never forget me” but her surprised not end. He handed a box again those are Pierre Herme macrons. And he kindly smiled on her

“For a kid with sweet tooth.” He pinches her cheek and said.

“Oppa…..”  She hugs his waist and hides her head into his chest. Jiyoung can’t stop smiled at this little girl childish act. But to his surprise she sobbed.

JiYoung lift her chin and he saw her puppy eyes filled with tears.

“Why are you crying, Minji-ah?” he asked with confusion.

Minji shook her head and look away from him.

“I’m so happy with your kindness Oppa. You are really the best to me. But why SeungHyun Oppa is not like that. I want to be in his heart at least somewhere in the far corner.”  She talked between her sobs.  

Jiyoung’s heart becomes heavy. Why SeungHyun-Hyung overwhelm this little girls heart? Why he can’t penetrate into hers even he try hard? 

“Minji-ah, don’t feel sad. Hyung will understand your heart one day. And he will really appreciate your love. But never forget that I’ll be always there for you”

She nodded and rests her head on his shoulder. JiYoung sighed and swept those tears on her face gently.

SeungHyun feel angry, pathetic, miserable, lacking. Yes, he feel all those useless feeling and his head is dizzy with thoughts after thoughts. He laid his back on the bed and watching the white ceiling and crystal chandelier meaninglessly.

Then he turned his head to the side and watches the phone the laid silently on the bed. He can’t call her. Her phone is power off. Why’s she do this to him? He can’t understand.

And most of it, he can’t understand why he’s feeling like this for a girl who he just met. She’s not famous. She’s not pretty and she did nothing to attract him. But she is something that is naturally attractive. And he liked the feeling when he is around her. She is charismatic.

Arrrgh!! 

He grab the phone again and dialed her number but it is still power off. Did she run away form him? Why should she??

Even if she run away what is his need to concern. They are just met and there’s nothing between them. He drove away those meaningless thoughts and closed his eyes tightly at last. He should try to sleep because tomorrow morning he has to go back to Korea. Who knows when he can see her again after he left Paris.

“ChaeRin you kill me”   He sighed.

ChaeRin placed all her baggage and boxes into the small old room and feel those old touching feelings. She opened the drawer which is covered with thin layer of dust. There are old photo albums where all her forgotten memories lie.

She just touches those album covers and controls her heart not to open them. She closed the drawer with force and walked towards the studio next to her room by dragging the box that filled with painting tools.

She drop the box at the center of the room and can’t believe herself why’d she choose to live again in this same old room where she was hurt and tear apart. She inhale exaggeratedly and pushed those canvas and framed pictures to one side of the room without looking them and then cover with a cloth.

She went back into her room and throws herself into the couch. She closed her eyes and a face flashed before her eyes. Yes, he is way too handsome to be a human. She smiled on her own. She would draw his portrait one day for certain. She also remembers those sketches she draws on the plane and pulled them out from bag which is on the floor. 

Now, she feels sorry for that she can’t properly say goodbye to him. But when they are in the same town there are thousand millions of chances they can meet again. She gets up from couch and walked towards the tall window with thick window pane. This is her favorite place in this room.

As she looks through the window she can see the bird eye view of the city once she ran away from.

Seoul.
