Green fields and vineyards, those are prettiest nature gifts. Seunghyun enjoyed the look through the car window as his ride along the country side of French. The fresh breeze of grapes and grass makes him refresh form all his stress and weary mind after their Euro tour.

During his vacation after tour he decides to pay visit to winery where Teddy-hyun recommended. And also his taste of fine wine. But the trip almost take half a day and he doesn’t see any sign that once he told that will lead him to the yard.

He looks a shot at manager hyun and he look back at him uncertainly.

“Ok, I know we are lost. Right??”  he said indifferently and his manager hyun weakly smile back and make a nod.

“ Arrgh. SeungHyun-ah how can I know those damn way of French”

He chuckled at his manager hyun trying to act innocent look. They try to find the way on map but they both uncertain where they are right now. Vine yards and green fields and hills everywhere making this looking indifferent and the road is deserted and no people to ask for.

“should we give up and go back to Paris” his manager hyun suggest. But he don’t want to as he give much expectation on this trip and also the Teddy hyun’s friend the vine yard owner would be waiting for him.

Then his hawk eyes suddenly find something under the shades of trees road side.

“Hyun, stop the car.’ he get off and walk toward the tree.

To his surprise this is a girl who sits leaning her back to the tree close her eyes like she’s enjoying peaceful and quiet nature. Besides her , canvas , paint and brushes are scattering. And also an i-pod playing really slow and soft instrumental.

SeungHyun frowned and look puzzle to this girl. What is she doing alone in this place??? is she sleeping??

But she slowly opens her eye and saw him. Not making a single sound, but just stare at him.

“a hemm’

He clear his throat as his face feel burning because she caught him staring at her.

“Can u direct me the way to Chateau Coutelin?”

She turn her head away from him and start grabbing her things and put them into the straw bag. He looks at her surprise and can’t understand why she doesn’t answer him back. Is she deaf??

Finally she got on her feet and turn back to face him

“Let’s go. I’m going there too.”

He steal a glance at the girl who is now sitting at front seat. She is with golden brown hair but her features show she is an Asian. She is not the pretty or cute type but there is vibe that cant’ resist her attractiveness. 

After they turn a little bit to a narrow lane, they can saw the grand red brick villa among the vine yard. A man came out from the house as he heard their car. She get off from car, walk to him, hug him and whispered something into his ear.

SungHyun look at them and open the door as the man walking towards him. The man is about middle age with strong body and silver hairs. He smile widely towards Sunghyun and open arms towards him

“You must be Monsieur Choi. Welcome to Château Coutlein. I’m Louise.”

SeungHyun response his hugging and greeting

“Ah, call me SeungHyun and sorry that I’m late”

“No, no it’s ok. ChaeRin said you were lost”

“ChaeRin?? “he glance at the girl who is now entering the villa. She looks back at him and waves her hand.

“I thought you two know each other.” Louise said when they walk towards the house. SeungHyun shook his head and answer

“No, I just met her and asked her direction. Is she your sister? “

SeungHyun know it’s rude to ask but he simply just want to know as he knows Louise is half French half Korean.

Louise chuckle and looks at him amusingly

“She’s my friend and also a visitor here. I’ll show you around winery this evening. Take a little rest before that. “

“Hello stranger!”

He looks for the voice and saw her half leaning to the fence which cover with ivy under the sunset. She is just wearing oversized loose shirt with jeans and wine glass in her hand. She tucked loosing hairs swaying with breeze behind ear and raised her eyebrows

“Would you mind join me drinking”

He walks towards her and sitting down into the swinging chair besides her. She offered him the glass and he take it but he do not drink as he is already well drink enough at wine cellar tasting some wine.

“I’m not a stranger no more “he smirk and said. She chuckle and studying his face

“You know what , you are the best creation of God”

SeungHyun face suddenly feels heat.

“Ok, this is not what you supposed to talk, right??”

“And with a very manly y voice.” She continued.

 He didn’t know what to reply instead watching her with open mouth. She chuckled again at his shy, tossed her glass to him

“I’m Lee ChaeRin. Nice to meet you Choi SeungHyun-shi” she said with smile on her lip.

“How’d you know my name.”  He asked in surprise.

“Louise told me” she shrugged and looked away to the hills.

The evening breeze swift her blond hair again. She grabbed the wine bottle which is laying in the grass and nodded to me.

“wants some more”  

SeungHyun shooked his head and raised the glass and show her there’s wine left in his.

“You can’t drink. Right??” she chuckled amusingly and .

SeungHyun grinned back at her and said “ Why can’t I. I just tasted more than enough wine in the cellar. More than enough…”

She laughed at his childish “Ok, Mr. I-can-drink-a-lot, would you mind walking around before dinner.”  She drunk up the last wine in the glass, filled it again and started walking along the swaying path of the wild grass field.

SeungHyun stand on the spot and look at her. she looks like a forest fairy who is y rather than lovely. And he feels relax around her not like when he was around some other girls who he just met. May be she is something.

ChaeRin stopped, tilted her head and called SeungHyun. But her voice disappeared in the blowing wind.

Now SeungHyun walked besides ChaeRin along the winding path which leads to nowhere. They didn’t talk but feel the peaceful of the evening. Seunghyun hands in the pocket. But Chaerin bring the bottle and glass.

She stopped when they reach and pointed to the edge of hill. There a basket on the blanket and some sketch books , canvas and charcoal pencils scattered over there.

SeungHyun set down on the blanket beside ChaeRin with questioning look. ChaeRin smiled at him and said

“I’d like to draw a sketch of you”

“why should I allow?” he said teasingly. ChaeRin  raised her eyebrows and said

“As I said before you are the best art work of God even in white shirt and jeans. And this orange sunshine upon you make me irresistible to draw you. “

He laughed out loud.

“Who can say no to that cheesy lines” and they both laughed.

He sit still and looked at ChaeRin with interesting while she start drawing him.

“Are you a painter?”

“I prefer artist.” ChaeRin take a glance at him and continue drawing.

“And you are a singer” his eyebrows crocked because of her words.

“Louis told me” she says before he can ask.

“Do you live in Paris” he just asked because he simply wants to know.

“Do you live in Seoul” she shot back.

“Yah. I just asked because Louise said you are also a visitor here” he pouted.

“Yes, I live in Paris and I’m a long stay visitor. That is very long stay enough to annoy Louise.” She giggled.

“Why?”

“Oh. Mostly I lived here but sometimes I went back to Paris without telling him. He thought I got kidnapped every time I lost. Whenever I get back here , he says it’s better I don’t comeback and just live in Paris because he would got heart attack when I’m around” She laughed.

“Ha Ha. May be he’s worried about you.” He laughed with her.

“Yes, I’m like a family to him.” She said and staring like something hold her back.

Then she looked back at him and smile weakly.

“Here it is” she handed the sketch book. To his surprise , it is a pencil art of him staring somewhere with peacefulness on the face with details of his hair and shirt flowing with wind.

“It is way better than I expected. You are really good at art.” She smiled widely at his remark.

“It’s just a sketch. I will draw a painting for it and send to you.”

“I can’t wait to see that painting.”

They went back to villa for dinner after drinking wine and watching sunset.

SeungHyun opened his eye and enjoyed the morning breeze. He thought about last night. Last night , he , manager hyun, ChaeRin , Louise and his wife enjoyed dinner till late. They had great time and he suddenly remembered that ChaeRin promised to take him to river valley today.

He can’t stop smiling again when he think about ChaeRin.  She really know how to deal with people. He feel like he is close to her .

SeungHyun get up and take a bath. After showering he pulled out almost all his clothes from baggage because he did not satisfy with what he wear. Finally he chose to wear shirt over plain white tee and jeans. 

He feel excited as he walk towards ChaeRin’s room. Is she still sleeping or ready to go? Who would know as she is unpredictable one with surprising cards under her sleeve.

He knocked the door softly but no response. He called

“ChaeRin , it’s me SungHyun” but no sound from inside. Instead the door beside him opened and Louise come out

“Ah. SeungHyun-ah . Good morning. ChaeRin’s gone” he said in sleepy.

“What? What do you mean she’s gone?” SeungHyun forehead crooked and asked in surprise.

“She said there’s emergency and she need to go. Tell me to apologize you instead of her. This time she let me know before she goes, just to tell you. That girl is unbelievable “ Louise shook his head and entered into his room.

Seunghyun left on the spot and can’t move. He tried to think clearly the situation that’s

She’s gone.
