[20th May 2012, Seoul, Myungsoo’s Apartment | Myungsoo ]

Myungsoo slowly opened his eyes. His head hurt because he had cried himself to sleep last night. When he saw Sungyeol’s face in front of his, the younger froze. What is he doing here? Why is that choding in my bed? Myungsoo noticed the arm of the other around his waist and tried to push it away, but the grip of Sungyeol’s hand was iron. Instead the elder pulled him closer to his chest and Myungsoo couldn’t help but blush. How did this happen? He remembered breaking down in front of Woohyun’s room, but everything else was blurry. He stared at his friend’s face, slowly studying his features. The sleeping Sungyeol was kind of cute, the younger definitely liked this silent side of him more. No stupid jokes, no teasing – just peaceful silence.

“Myung, don’t just stare. You can touch me if you want.” Sungyeol smiled while his eyes were still closed.

Myungsoo felt heat rise to his face and tried once more to shake the elder off. “If you’re awake let me go, stupid choding! I’m not a cushion!”

“No, you’re better than any cushion! Why are you so grumpy again? Last night you were so cute, cuddling with me and asking me to sleep with you.”

Now he really was embarrassed. What had he done last night? Maybe we even k-kissed… “I-I wasn’t in my right mind last night! Whatever I did, justforgetaboutit!” Myungsoo blurted out.

Sungyeol suddenly let go of his waist and turned around on his back. “Don’t worry I would never take advantage of you, though it was hard to resist.”

He turned his head to Myungsoo again and opened his eyes. “You know how I feel about you. I would never hurt you. I told you last night, you can always count on me, Myung. I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes.”

For a moment they just looked into each other’s eyes, silently communicating. Myungsoo was so grateful for Sungyeol’s consideration. He knew he didn’t deserve the other. Although the choding has been trying to get his heart for a while now, Myungsoo had always acted like he didn’t know about it because he saw Sungyeol only as a friend. He never even cared to think about the other’s feelings.

“I’m sorry.”

Sungyeol patted his head and turned away again. “Don’t be.”

“I don’t deserve your love, Sungyeol. I’m such a failure as a friend.” Myungsoo felt tears sting his eyes. “That’s why even Woohyun left.”

The elder faced him and wiped his tears away. Sungyeol’s smile faltered a bit. “That’s not true and you know that. Come on, I know what you need right now. A good old cup of coffee can cure any depression.”

Myungsoo watched him as the taller male jumped out of bed and ran out of the room towards the kitchen. He heard Sungyeol singing something, probably his self-composed coffee song. The younger smiled and got out of his bed. He shuffled into the kitchen and took a seat at the counter. Sungyeol was busy preparing his beloved drink and some eggs for breakfast.
