what is infiniteThere was silence after the members had left, and Sunggyu just stared at Sungyeol. He couldn’t believe that he had let his emotions go this far. He was so disappointed when hearing Sungyeol had starved himself, and he was tired of Sungyeol’s low self-esteem. The fact that the younger was always self-deprecating himself was getting on the leader’s nerves, so when he found out that the news of Sungyeol starving himself got out, he just got angrier.
“This is all your fault you know,” Sunggyu commented, glaring at Sungyeol from the other side of the room.
Sungyeol didn’t respond. In fact, Sungyeol hadn’t talked except for the interviews that day. The growing silence annoyed Sunggyu to no end, and he was so sure that he wasn’t going to last the entire night with Sungyeol in the room.
“Whatever,” Sunggyu grumbled, realizing that he wouldn’t get a reply, “let’s just practice then.”
He the music and the two of them danced without looking at each other for another two hours.

It was about 1AM now, and Sungyeol still hadn’t said a word to the leader and Sunggyu was getting frustrated by the silent Sungyeol. They had stopped practicing then, and the music was off. Sunggyu stood by the door, wishing that the manager would just let them leave. Sungyeol sat on the ground on the other side of the room, staring down at his hands. Sungyeol didn’t want to look at Sunggyu at the moment. He just didn’t want to.
“Are you just not going to talk to me then? We’ve been practicing all night. Don’t you want to go back? You just want to sleep here then?!” Sunggyu exclaimed, his voice growing louder with each sentence. His patience was really wearing out now. There was nothing he could do if Sungyeol didn’t want to cooperate.
“No,” Sungyeol muttered, finally.
“What was that? No? Now you decide to talk to me?” Sunggyu continued.
“Stop, I’m tired of you scolding me and lecturing me.”
Sunggyu almost exploded. “What?! Are you serious right now? You wanted to act like a huge child and expect me not to chide you? What’s going on through your mind right now Sungyeol, because I really can’t understand you.”
He didn’t get another reply. Instead, Sungyeol stood up from the ground and started walking towards Sunggyu, looking down at the ground and not at the person he was walking towards.
Sunggyu stared at the younger and sighed.
“I’m tired of this too Sungyeol. I really am tired.”
Sungyeol looked at Sunggyu, and his heart skipped a beat. He hated it when Sunggyu was mad at him, but he couldn’t help but be frustrated whenever he was called a kid. It was something that he never liked, and hearing it from Sunggyu just made it worse.
He stared at the leader and walked closer to him.
“Sunggyu,” he whispered once he was facing Sunggyu, face to face.
He was extremely close to the leader now. He could feel Sunggyu’s frustrated breath on his face, and he couldn’t help but feel guilty being the cause of the leader’s frustrations.
“I-I know you’re really tired, but please…just look at me.”
With Sungyeol’s plead, Sunggyu widened his eyes, surprised at the soft tone in Sungyeol’s voice. He raised his head, shocked to see Sungyeol that close to him. He tried to step back, but realized he was already against the wall.
“What do you want, Sungyeol?” he said quietly, “I-I don’t know what I can do anymore.”
He stared into Sungyeol’s eyes, wondering again what was going through the other’s mind.
Sungyeol’s lip trembled as he said his next words. “D-Do you really still think of me as a kid?”
At that time, Sunggyu looked at Sungyeol, and for the first time in a while, he actually saw Sungyeol.
Sungyeol had gotten too skinny. He had gotten pale, and he looked like he hadn’t slept in days. Sungyeol’s lost his chubby cheeks, and the tank top that Sungyeol was wearing showed that his arms now had way more definition then the little child that Sunggyu remembered from before.
Sungyeol closed his eyes and took a hold of Sunggyu’s hand. He placed his on his arms, moved them to his chest, then to his no longer chubby cheeks.
“I’m not a kid anymore, Sunggyu…”
Even though Sungyeol’s cheeks were more hollow now, they were still soft. They were as soft as Sungyeol’s hands were which was strange, considering most idols had rough hands from all of the practice and dancing. His slender fingers were on top of Sunggyu’s, holding them against his face.
Sunggyu felt tears and looked up at Sungyeol’s eyes. He was crying.
Sungyeol has become really handsome, Sunggyu thought. Maybe it was weird that the thought had just popped into his head at the moment, but it did, and Sunggyu didn’t know why it had, but it stayed in his mind for a while.
“L-Look at me as a man, please. I’m not a child anymore,” Sungyeol mumbled.
Sungyeol leaned in closer to Sunggyu and their lips pressed against each other, the feeling setting Sunggyu’s heart and mind on fire.
Sungyeol then let go of Sunggyu’s hand, running out of the practice room.
