As Shin began to wake, her senses gradually became aware of her surroundings. First her ears awoke.
She could hear the scared and concerned whispers from all direction from the boys around her.
Then she began to hear Doctor John's footsteps, faintly at first and then slowly louder as they quickened
in pace. The sound of his footsteps came into the already crowded room with a thud as the door closed
behind him. Next her brain, or rather, her mind began to awake. At this moment Shin knew where she
is. She is in the hospital bed, and she began to remember was had happened and what was happening.

Now the feeling is coming back to her. First in the very tips of her fingers, then it spread all the way through
her veins and into every muscle and bone. She could feel something very warm surrounding her left hand.
Of course she instantly recognize this feeling. The same sweet security that no other hand other than ChangMin's
could bring her. Now Shin knew she was fully awake, but she refused to stir. What would she say to them when
they knew she was awake? Could she really tell them about the flashbacks she has been having? Would they
really believe and understand her? No. Maybe it is just best for her to go back to sleep. Yes, that's it.
Just go back to sleep.

"Oh don't you dare give me that act Shin. I know your awake?" Doctor John said sternly.

Shin slowly opened her eyes to see a not so happy expression on Doctor John's face.

She glanced at her hand entangled in ChangMin's. He caught her eye briefly, but Shin quickly broke away.

"Shin, the boys already told me what happened. Would you like to tell me a little bit from your point of view?" Dr. John asked.

Shin cautiously looked around the room at the 17 boys, 13 of which had no clue as to what was going on.
But where was YooChun? She fully understood doctor John's question, and knew what he was getting at,
but how could she tell him, the one and only person she had ever trusted? And more importantly, she now
had an audience. All eyes were on her and the room was silent and tense.

"Oh I get it. How about if you only tell me?" Doctor John suggested.

ChangMin gave Shin's hand a little squeeze, and slowly nodded.

Once the boys had left the room Shin knew what she had to do. She told Doctor John
about everything that had happened, most importantly about the flashbacks she was
experiencing.

"I think I understand just what's going on. It's nothing to worry about but Shin, I
really need you to try your best not to think about it. ok...can you do that for me?"

She was silent for a moment and then made a single nod. she wanted to listen to Doctor John.
She really did! But how could she just not think about it? All Shin wanted was for it to go away.
She just doesn't know if she can ever forget the horrible things that have happened. Or should I
say, she doesn't know If she really should forget everything that has happened.

Doctor John gave her a big hug. He could see her pain, but more importantly
he could hear the words that wouldn't come out of . The words
that may never come out.

Finally and surprisingly as Doctor John got up to leave, Shin spoke. "Don't...
Doctor John turned around, Don't tell them."

Doctor John sighed and stood still, trying to say this in the nicest tone he could.
"You know, you may as well tell them, they are going to find out Shin.....This
isn't something I can make go away that easily. You just need to be strong."

Then, without waiting for a response, Dr. John quickly walked out of the room.

"That was scary"
"Soo weird!"
"I feel so bad"
"Is see gonna be ok?"
"What's happening?"
"YunHo say something!"

.....And many more questions and comments came from the SuJu boys. The DBSK boys looked
at each other. Maybe it was best to just tell them the whole story.

"Well If you would all sit down and be quiet, I'll tell you want I know" said Yunho.

As Yunho began the story all the SuJu boys were quiet and attentive. Every once in a while
Junsu would interrupt but it was mostly Yunho's smooth, deep voice that reached their ears.
when he was done, all they could do was stare at each other. It was so hard to accept that
the cute girl in the next room over had to live like that for sixteen whole years. It didn't seem fair.
It was so heartbreaking that a few of the more sensitive boys were on the brink of holding back tears.
When the sniffles began to stop and the hallway grew quiet, they all turned their heads as the doorknob
turned and opened to reveal Doctor John. He looked a little grim, and they all start to eye him down.

"Well......" Yunho started.

"Well.....there is a lot going on," Dr. John replied.

"Will she be ok?" ChangMin said cutting him off.

"...Well..."

"Well what!!" ChangMin asked rather rudely.

"Now hold on a minute! If it was that serious I would have told you by now.
If you would stop~"

"ok.....I'm sorry........oh now I get what you mean by me cutting me off." ChangMin shot him an innocent smile.

"Thank you. Now everyone gather around. To tell you the truth, right now Shin is suffering from her
past experiences. Sometimes when unspeakable things happen to a person, an they repress their feelings,
anytime after they can suddenly remember it. It is as if they are reliving the scene, and they have no sense of reality.
They can even feel the pain they once felt long ago." Dr. John explained.

An erie silence filled the hallway....

"Shin, is she feeling this....pain?" Yunho was the first to speak.

"Yes."

"But how does is start?" JaeJoong inquired.

"It can start at any time. Simple everyday words and actions can trigger these events.
Events that have made a big impact on their lives~"

"What can we do?" ChangMin interrupted again.

Doctor John sent him an annoyed expression that quickly changed to a sad one.

"There is nothing we can do. Shin needs to be strong and hold on, so that it can go away
on it's own. And that is being optimistic. I may never go away.
But if you really want to help just be nice to her. If it happens again just try to
keep her calm." he explained further.

The boys all understood and they really wanted to help. But one person in particular came to mind ~

"Look it's YooChun!" Eunhyuk yelled.

And indeed he was right. YooChun was sprinting down the hallway with a perplexed look on his face.
He stopped when he reached his friends. As he panted hard they told him all the new news. While
they were reporting this news doctor John slipped away from all the commotion. But YooChun was
rather quiet. He knew what he had to do and the boys (other than Yunho) did not know his intentions.

(Yoochun P.O.V)
She is suffering so much. It must be because I yelled at her, just like Yon-Soo.
I should have tried to start over with her. I blew it. Now it really is my fault.
I have to fix this.
(End P.O.V.)

"YooChun? YooChun say something!" Junsu yelled punching him in the arm.

Without answering YooChun turned around and reached for the doorknob.
But ChangMin was faster. He stopped him instantly and stared him down.

"Move ChangMin." YooChun said calmly.

"No." he protested.

"I said move." YooChun said losing his patience.

"And I said no! Weren't you listening to what we just said?" ChangMin too was losing his patience.

"Yeah..?"

"So then you'll realize that you yelling at Shin isn't good for her health." he slowly explained.

".......shut up." [under YooChun's breath]

ChangMin was getting defensive. "Did you just tell me to ~"

"ChangMin! ....It's ok." Yunho assisted.

"But!"

"Come on ChangMin. Not here. Not now." Yunho peacefully argued.

"Fine" ChangMin said finally letting YooChun through.

Once YooChun had taken a deep breath, walked inside, and closed the door, everyone
began talking at once. Except for ChangMin. He stayed silent and stiff at the door, trying
to hear through it.

"ChangMin trust me on this. YooChun is changing." Yunho assured him.

"Shin seems to have that affect on other people," ChangMin agreed.

"Yeah and for the good too." Yunho agreed right back knowing he had calmed ChangMin down.

They all began discussing their various affairs. Anything so that they wouldn't dwell on what was
happening. Besides, what more was there to talk about? With Shin's health on the line what
else was more important?

================= Back in Shin's hospital room ================

YooChun gently closes the door behind him. As he turns around, unsure of how Shin will act,
their eyes meet. But are there expressions that of hatred or anger or confusion? No. YooChun's
eyes show deep and sincere apology, while Shin's likewise show total understanding.

"Hi...." YooChun begins awkwardly.

Shin nods. does she already know what he is going to say?

YooChun slowly walks over and sits on the edge of Shin's bed, all the while avoiding her eyes.
Just like a child that knows he was done wrong, would.

"Shin...I need to say ~"

But Shin nodded, No.

"Wait!" he says as he takes her hand, "I have to make this clear."

"The way you have been acting has nothing to do with me." She finished his thought out loud.

"Oh my...."

"What?" she said sweetly with patience.

"Your voice...it's~"

"sounds like someone you know." She finished his thoughts again.

"I didn't know you could talk this much." he said casually changing the subject.

"......"

"And no answer? Why so quiet?" he mocked.

"Your not talking to me." she said plainly.

"What do you mean? Your the only other person in this room." YooChun challenged.

"Your not looking at me." she said just as plainly.

"YooChun was getting angry. "Your not making any sense! Why are you talking in riddles?"

"......." she is silent again.

"Fine. Just answer this for me. You seem to know a lot about.....about me. How?"

"......"

YooChun gets up and goes to the door thinking he will not get an answer.
But just as he reaches the doorknob Shin speaks up.

"I.... [YooChun turns around]...I pay attention." she announces suddenly.

"Yeah I know you do." he says as he walks out of the room.

Once he had fully left, Shin was back into deep thought. She thought about many things.
Things such as how long the day had been, how worried she was about what her first friends
were thinking about her. Shin had never really cared about what other people thought. But now.
Now everything was different. She had friends and....and...a lover? Oh ChangMin! What is she
to him? What is he to her? But she didn't have the time to sort things out now. As she had said
before "I pay attention". And soon it would be time to prove this statement. Shin needed to think.
Think hard. She wanted to help her friends just as they have shown her kindness. And now she
had found a way!

================== In the Hallway ======================

"Well? Well!"
"What happened?"
"How is she?"
"What did you say?"

They all bombarded YooChun with questions the minute he walked out of Shin's room.
He stood silent for quite some time as he waited for the crowd, better known as his
friends, to settle down.

He caught Yunho's eye, gave him a small smile, put his hands in his pocket, and strut off
as cool and calm as could be. Just like nothing had happened.

"What's going on?" JaeJoong inquired.

"....Let's just say, things at home are not gonna be as loud on YooChun's behalf." Yunho answered.

"How would you know?" JaeJoong said as if Yunho was a suspect at a crime scene.

"You know Jae, I know a lot more than you think." Yunho said speaking out of context again.

"Aww cut it out guys. Please not now!" Junsu begged them not to fight.

"Come on you guys, lets go see Shin." ChangMin urged.

So JaeJoong and Yunho had to give up there potential fight and follow ChangMin and the others into Shin's room.

While in the room they properly introduced Shin to all the Super Junior members, and Shin, slowly but
surly, began to become more comfortable around them. Thankfully all the SuJu boys were very
understanding, and did not hold Shin against the fact that their first encounter did not go so well. But
at the end of the day they all realized that non of that mattered. What mattered was that they were all
there for each other. And DBSK would soon find out just how much Shin would be there for them.......
