DARA'S POV


    " Dara, baby come on now. It's time to wake up  " victoria shook my shoulder and brushed my hair off of my face.


      "Eunggg" I groaned, I'm not ready to leave my dreamland just yet but I still need to go to school coz I took a leave for a week now , so I better wake up. I sit down rubbing my eyes.


      " Dara... Are you sure you ready to go to school; I mean you can rest for another day. You don't need to force yourself honey “I looked at her and smiled.

        
          " I should go or else my professors won't let me graduate for lack of presence " 

          " Well then I should prepare you breakfast so when you finish just go down ok? "

 

            " Neh "
 

I walk in my bathroom taking off every piece of clothes I have. Turn on the shower and let the water drops all over my body. I've done my daily routine and just let my hair down, put a little lipgloss and walk out of my room.


            " I'm gonna get going now, see you later " I bid goodbye to vic as I fix my tie.
 

              " Honey, how will you go to school your car is still in repair "  

    
             " Its okay I'll just take a cab"

  
           " Well just be safe ok and call if anything happen"

            " Neh " 

 

I'm trying to figure out where the taxi stand is when I bump into someone. I look up and saw a pair of familiar brown eyes.

      " Dee...  Where are you going? " He asked with confused all over his eyes.


      " School "    I bowed down, didn't want to meet his stares , I hear his voice again for a long time and I feel my chest tightened.

      " I thought you’re sick? I've tried to visit you but vic says you shouldn't be disturbed, how are you feeling now? "  

       " Oh yeah, I'm feeling better now.... " I look at him confused he sounded worried ? Is he really worried? I asked myself

        " Are you sure ?  "

        " Neh "

            " Well then since your here wanna go to school together "     he smiled at me. That smile, before it can make me blushed and also smile just seeing it but now it just hurt....

         " I-I ah... I'm waiting for someone you should go ahead you'll be late " I lied 


        " Ohhh. Umm... Ok then, see you at school " He sounded hesitant


        " K... See you " I bid goodbye as I see him walking away.

                       I feel my heart aches again as I saw what we are right now. Is this how we’re going to be awkward, barely talking ?.  This is all because of her. I shouldn't hate her, but what do you want me to do?  Love her for taking my bestfriend away

[FLASHBACK]          


I  walk  down  the  hallway  shrugged  off  the  stares  I'm getting .  ”PITY” is written all over their faces.  I guessed that's for me, they must be thinking how could the most prestigious family went bankrupt. I chuckled bitterly; I mean who would have thought that a person's life can change in a blink of an eye. With the nasty divorced and some more issues , our company began to lose investors the shareholders filing for resignation and the people who lost their job just because of my father’s malcontent self he threw everything away, everyone away... Our company went from the top to almost nothing.  

*Sigh

        " Dee, wait up " I heard someone called me as I look back who it was. And then there, I saw him smiling. The only person that can make me smile even though my life's full of .

   
         " Jiyong... " I mumble to myself smiling as I saw him running to me.


        " Hey there beautiful " he kissed my cheek as we sat down under our favorite tree.


        " So... How are you holding up? " He asked while staring at me.


        " Fine I guess " I take a sip at my juice as I stare up looking at the sky. I lay down the grass still looking up.


        He stare at me and brushed some hair out of my face " How about your parents, with the divorce. Who are you going to stay with? " He ask as he lays down beside me.

" My mom, I don't want to be at the same house with my dad's mistress and beside he wouldn't even want me there ...."


          " Don't say that, of course he'll want you there " 


          " Not really, can we change the subject " I asked didn't want to talk about it any further.
    

        " Well I heard the news that your company got some problems my parents were talking about it yesterday "


  I rolled my eyes, he's really stubborn " Problem? no.. Its bankrupt and my father's thinking of selling so he can get at least some money in it, my father has a lot of mortgage so I don't expect he'll get that much"
 

         " How about you and your mother will you get som- " I cut him off as I got a feeling where he's going by this conversation. I straddle him I saw him looked at me with confused and blushed at the same time 

  I sighed as I lay down on his chest " Let's not talk about this, I got enough of pity from everyone . But not from you, please...." I pleaded

    He hugs me tightly and said " I'm sorry, I'm just worried ... " 

       " Its okay I like it when your worried, I feel somehow important. I like that ...." I smiled to his chest as I  closed my eyes


      " Your always important " he whisper but loud enough for me to hear and kissed my forehead as he close he's eyes.

  The bell rang and I stood up and walk my way to the canteen




    “Dara!! " I heard someone shouted my name

    
  

    " Bom .... " I smiled as I see her approaching



     

           ”Where the hell have you been !! I've been trying to call you but your nanny keep saying that you should not be disturbed, I'm your friend dara I have the rights to know what's going on with my friend's life !" She hissed as she grabs me to sit at one of the table

      " Now explain!"

      " Bom.. Its nothing I just caught a cold that's why, no biggie "

      " What ? .... You think I'm stupid, you think I'll believe that . Tell me dara what 's wrong, what happened between you two?" She asked as I saw worried all over her face


      " W-we .. He,....changed he left me when I needed him the most and for that I hated him, it’s not even his fault it’s just … Im so… tired " I looked at my hands as tears  burn my eyes

      " Oh Dara... " She hugged me trying to comfort me.


Were at bom's house right now, we went up to her room and as usual her parents greeted us with warm smiles and hugs 



     

           " Dara, it been a long time since you visit us. How's your mother? " She asked smiling

           " MOM ! " Bom yelled

         " Oh ! Honey sorry, I didn't meant to- " 

        " Its okay Mrs. Park, my mom's doing fine she's getting out of rehab maybe this or next month " I cut her off

       " Oh, that's good then " Mrs. Park smiled at me but I know what she's thinking.
 

After the divorce my mom began to drink all day and became an alcoholic , my father didn't care. He didn't even encourage my mom to stop drinking I haven't heard of him since the divorce maybe rejoicing

My mom didn't take the divorce so well unlike my dad. She just considered going to the rehab when we got into an accident. It was that midnight last summer, I heard some rumbling outside my room so I went to see what it was. There she was barely walking drunk again as usual. I've tried to help her but she kept on pushing me away. I finally grab her to stand up but she pushes me harder till I fall on the stairs. I was confined in the hospital for two weeks I lost a lot of blood when I hit my head , I woke up with an empty room I just saw some flowers and fruits with victoria sleeping beside my bed

                 " Dara are you ok? I'm sorry for my mom, she just don't know when to shut up. " She apologized as I stop spacing out.
 

               " Its ok ...."

        " So Dara , tell me what happened from the very start. Coz I'm so confused, I mean when I left last year you two were so close. I even thought you two were actually gonna date, but now.... What happened dara . What happened to you and jiyong ? "   She asked looking seriously at me
