Longing For Your Love
I'm not sure if I asked him to come along.
I don't think I did.
Hmph.
The impatient boy from lunch is with us again. With Nicole and me, that is.
He keeps blabbering on and on about some stupid show, and Nicole is laughing along with him.
So much for being helpful.
I drift away from the two lovebirds toward the soccer field. The boys are still playing soccer, and among them, I see Hoya. He sees me too, and we wave at each other with smiles on our faces.
Then I spot him. Again. Every day, like this.
He's kicking the ball, swiftly dodging around the opposing team and without passing, makes a goal, leaving the goalie dumbfounded yet again.
Yet again.
I watch as they take a break, and he heads toward the bench where the water bottles are.
He looks good, even when sweaty...
"WATCH OUT!" Someone is suddenly shouting, and I see the soccer ball flying in the air.
It's flying and flying and flying, until it hits someone in the stomach.
Uh-oh.
I watch as the person—no, the girl, kneels over on the ground, clutching her stomach and writhing in pain.
Poor thing.
People crowd around, but only the guy who kicked the ball walks up to help her. She has trouble standing up, and her glasses have fallen on the ground.
Then, almost out of nowhere, he comes.
Junhyung. Yong Junhyung.
He takes her arm and assists her in standing up. I blink.
He's lifting her up now, onto his back. I blink.
He's walking away now with his hands holding her legs; her arms tightly wrapped around his neck like a ribbon on a gift.
And I blink again when I realize that the girl on his back is Lim Ji Min.
Lim Ji Min.
The one I bumped into in the library.
Lim Ji Min.
Have I ever hated her as much as I do now?
