After an accident that took the life of Seo Nayeon's parents, she has lost the will to speak. Now, she only writes in her journal. Her friends try to get her to speak, but to no avail. Evenutally they stop talking to each other completely. One day, their school gets a new transfter student who ends up in Nayeon's class. His name is Park Chanyeol. He tries to speak to Nayeon, who doesn't reply. Their classmates tell him not to bother but he is determined to get her to speak. Will he succeed in doing so, or end up doing what everyone else does and ignore her?

Chanyeol glanced over Nayeon's shoulder, reading the ending of what the girl was writing since her left arm laid on top of the rest. When it seemed like she was finished with her poem, his eyebrows scrunched together as he frowned and said, "There's a lot of rhymes in your poem, but the last two lines don't rhyme." She just glanced at the curly haired boy, not saying anything. "Oh, I know!" Chanyeol grabbed the pen out of her hand, earning shocked looks from several classmates sitting around them.
"Dude, Chanyeol!" Kai gaped at him, "Are you stupid?"
"You never dithurb her when the'th making poemth!" Sehun looked frightened. "The'll kill you!"
"Especially now that you wrote in her sacred book!" Kai finished.
Their words went unheard by Chanyeol, however, as he gave the girl a goofy grin after he scribbled a 'word' to end her poem.
Do I want to give in or let it go?

Nayeon sat staring at her notebook, an unreadable expression on her face. Kai and Sehun sat looking expectantly at her and Chanyeol, nearly on the edge of their seats at the intense silence. The two jumped in surprise when Nayeon closed her notebook, a bit too loudly. She turned to look out of the window, disregarding the three boys once more.
"Idiot, she's probably mad now." Kai mumbled to Chanyeol. He and Sehun turned back to the front of the room to see Kris looking suspiciously at them.
Chanyeol was about to turn forward as well, but not before catching the small, barely visible smile that graced Nayeon's lips for a split second. He didn't know if it actually happened or not, but it didn't matter. As long as he saw it, even if only slightly, she still smiled. He grinned at the thought before turning back to look at Kris.
He was starting to break through her barrier.

This is my first time writing a fic that's all fluff and no comedy (although judging by the looks of things, it's some fluff with comedy here and there)
