Chapter 15
The Unwilling Bride
"Y-yah. You're hot!"
"I know. Thank you."
The rain was pouring heavily in the window. The weather reflected the turmoil that is happening inside the car. It has been two hours since Donghae left but still, the
couple was roaming aimlessly in Busan. They tried to ask for directions but since it was raining heavily, they failed miserable. Now, they were tired, hungry and with no
place to go. The cloud was still dark, indicating that there were more to expect.
" It's all your fault. Aishhhh!" She said that line for how many times since today. But who could blame her? They were here in this situation because of him. If only he
had been honest from the very start, they will be now in their house, enjoying the heavy rain. But no, they were stuck in the car for how many hours with empty
stomach and tired body.
Seunghyun had been quiet the whole time. He too had been tired but he chose not to speak. It was after all his fault. If only he had been honest, maybe, they will not
be in this position.
"I'm tired and hungry~ " She sulked. She sulked and looked at the window, hoping that her depression will fade.
He looked at her. He observed her as she looked at the window. He knew she was beautiful from the start. He didn't seem to appreciate it until now. She was like a
lonely angel as she watched the raindrops fall from the window. Her eyelashes were long, her lips was full, her skin was white, her hair was... Suddenly, out of the blue,
the car stopped. 'Sh*t!'
"Wae? What happened? Why did we stop?"
"We ran out of gas." He said calmly.
"Bwo?!!! Chincha?!!! You're not joking?!!!" She shrieked.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" He snapped.
"Arrgggghghhh!!!! What do we do?!!! We're stuck in the middle of nowhere! I can't see any house!"She panicked.
He breathed deeply. He too didn't know what to do. He opened the door and went outside the heavy rain.
"Get out."
"What?! Are you crazy?! Do you want to get sick?! It was raining!" She shrieked.
"It's better here than be stuck there. Faster! Are you just staying like that?"
She didn't have any choice but to follow him. She didn't want to be there for too long. She was hungry for goodness' sake.
"Ppalli." He said then grabbed her. He placed her right arm on her shoulders while the other one was covering her head.
They ran together in the heavy rain. He headed to a nearby waiting shed.
"Aissshhhh." She shivered as they arrived. "Where are we going from here?"
"I don't know. Let's go." He said.
"Where?"
"Anywhere."
"Bwo?! We'll get sick!" She panicked.
"Then do you want to stay here forever?" He retorted.
"N-no."
"Then let's go." He grabbed her again then ran aimlessly.
"Accchooo~" She sneezed at the front desk.
They ran aimlessly for more than thirty minutes before they located a hotel to stay in. That is why, she was now in this state.
"Sir, here is your key. Thank you very much. Is there anything you need sir?" The receptionist flirtingly said.
"Food Deliver. Soup preferably and cold medicine." He said stoically. He didn't like how she was flirting with him. He was disgusted.
"Oh. Yes sir. I'll give you our special dish. Only for you." She said then winked.
"If you wanted to flirt with her all night then you may. Just give me the keys. Can't you see I'm freezing here." She suddenly butted in.
She couldn't help but snap. How dare he just stand there while she was nearly freezing to death.
He looked at her. Her nose was red from too much sneezing. She was clutching her clothes. She looked like a mess, but a cute mess nonetheless.
"Let's go." He grabbed her shoulders then pulled her closer. They started walking. The receptionist couldn't help but pout. 'He's taken. Tsk.'
"Miss" He suddenly called then looked back.
"Yes?~" Thinking that it was her chance to charm him, she graced him her oh-so beautiful smile.
"From now on, don't act cute. You look stupid." With that said, he turned around.
She looked at her while they were walking. She saw her dejected face. She couldn't help but chuckle. 'Still as cocky as ever'
"Hey Seunghyun it's your turn." She nudged him. She just got out of shower. She was now wearing the hotel's robe.
He stood up then went in the bathroom. She laid in the bed tiredly. "Achoooo~ Aigoo! That's why I hated the rain! ARrrrrgggg!" She said then wiped her nose. She hated getting sick. When she was little, there was no one to take care of her when she was sick after her parents died. That's why, she avoided getting sick. She never get sick, until now.
After a few minutes, Seunghyun got out of shower. He too, was in a robe like her. He saw her lying in the bed.
"Did you eat already?" He asked
"Hmmmmm~" She answered as she snuggled closer to the pillow.
"Hey." He went to her.
"Hey! Give me that! I'm sleeping!!!" She said tiredly.
"You must eat first." He reprimanded.
"Later~ Please~"
"No. You're eating now."
"Hmp. You're such a dictator!"
"Yes. Now eat." He went to where the soup was then feed her.
She couldn't help but to follow him. He was feeding her while she was on the headboard sitting. She couldn't help but feel pampered.
"Yah! Why are you suddenly kind? Are you sick?" She suddenly asked.
"Just eat."
"Psh." She ate the one he handed.
"Seriously Seunghyun. You're getting kinder and kinder each day. Are you for real? What if you're really sick? May I see?" She said then attempted to touch his forehead.
"Yah! Stop that!"
"Let me see. Let me see." She playfully said. She was just joking him. She enjoyed watching him panic. When she finally touched his forehead, her smile faltered.
"Y-yah. You're hot!"
"I know. Thank you." He nudged her hand then went back to feeding her. He placed the spoon in front of . "Ahhh."
"But Seunghyun..."
"If you didn't want to eat anymore then sleep." He said then went to the couch. He switched the TV on and watched stoically.
When she saw this, she went to join him. "Hey, you should drink medicine. Did you eat already?"
"I'm not hungry." He answered briefly.
"But you must also eat. How can you drink medicine? Yah.. Seunh-- Achoo!"
"Tsk." He went to where the medicine was then went back. "Drink this."
She sniffed. She looked at the medicine. "You should drink also! And eat."
"Just drink it. I'll be fine. I can handle myself." He answered.
She stubbornly crossed her arms. "No. I won't drink that unless you eat and drink too."
"No. You first."
"No. You eat and drink then I drink." She glared at him. He glared back.
Suddenly, he gave in. He was one stubborn woman. "Fine. But in one condition."
"What?"
"Feed me."
"What?!!"
"Feed me. I fed you now return the favor and feed me."
She looked at him, observing if he was for real. He wanted me to feed him? Really?!
Minutes later, she was feeding him. He was eating everything she was giving him. After eating, she handed him his medicine. "Now drink."
"Hmmm. I want another condition." He looked directly in her eyes.
She looked away. She couldn't take the way he was looking at her.
"Call me Tabi and do some aegyo." He said.
"Bwoyah?! You want me to what?!" She suddenly looked at him.
"Do some aegyo and call me Tabi." He said without batting eyelashes.
"Wwwwwhaaaaat?! No way!"
"Fine." He said then went back to watching.
Few minutes later, she didn't move. She observed him while he was watching. He was sweating profusely. His eyes were drooping. She knew he was sick but refused to show it. She knew how tired they were and yet, she was stubborn.
She sighed. "Tabi~ Tabi-yah." She stood up.
He looked at her when he heard her calling his name.
"Pyong! Pyong! " She placed her clenched hands beside her eyes then acted like rubbing it.
He smiled. She did it.
Suddenly, she stopped. She never saw him smile. As in never. But now, he was smiling. 'He must be really sick'
"Now drink!" She handed him the medicine. Still smiling, he drank it.
"Come here." He said as he switched the TV off.
She went to him. He went closer to her then held her close.
"W-what are you d-doing?" She stammered.
"Body heat."
"Body heat?" She questioned.
"Yes. I need body heat." He said then snuggled close to her.
"Yah! I'm only permitting this because you're sick now. Don't think I would allow you again."
"As if I didn't do it in the past. "
"But still..."
"Shhh. Quiet."
He was holding her waist and placed his head closer to her chest.
"Yah, you look like a koala."
"I don't care." He answered dismissively. 'I like this position.'
"Are you a doppleganger? Where are you hiding the very respectable Choi Seunghyun?" She asked playfully.
"shhh." He hushed.
"Are you always like this when you're sick?" She questioned.
"Hmmmm~"
She looked at him as he was clinging to her waist.
"Aigoo" She said then brushed his hair gently. 'He really looked like a koala. A very cute one'
He snuggled even closer when he felt her his hair.
She badly wanted to pinch his cheeks but she refrained herself. 'Uggghh. Cuteness overload. I wish you're sick everyday. Kekeke.'
After a few minutes, she felt uncomfortable.
"Yah Seunghyun." She nudged him.
"Tabi." He corrected.
"T-tabi, let's sleep in the bed. it feels uncomfortable here." As soon as she said that, Seunghyun immediately complied.
In the bed, he immediately held her close. He snuggled close to her and sniffed her neck. 'Heaven'
"Yah don't smell me! You act like a vampire."
"Yeah~ A handsome one." He said then continued to sniff her.
"Hmp. Conceited much."
Silence remained. All of a sudden, he spoke. "I'm sorry."
She immediately looked at him. Is he really saying sorry?
"Im sorry." He repeated. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have lied. We wouldn't be here right now." He said then looked at her in the eyes.
"It's ok. Besides-- Achooooooooo~" She sneezed again for the nth time.
"No it's not. Look at you. You're sick."
"No. It's nothing I can't handle. And you! You're also sick."
"It's my fault so it's ok."
"It's not ok. I know you feel awful. Aishhh." She said then embraced him tightly. "If you badly needed body heat, then I'll give it to you."
He smiled as she said that. She's getting cuter as the day goes by. He hugged him back. "Right~ I need a lot of body heat."
"Then I'll give it to you. Now sleep and get some rest. Night Tabi"
"Night princess." He said then stole a kiss from her lips."
"Yah!You didn't just stole a kiss from me. It's the third time already! " She hit his chest.
"Why? You wanted it back? It's ok. Come on take it back." He challenged.
"You're sick! You shouldn't kiss me" She retorted back.
"Well I'm also sick. So we're quits."
"Aissshttt." She said then hid her face in his neck.
He chuckled. He knew her face was red from embarassment. He saw it himself before she ducked her head in his neck.
"Sweet dreams princess. Dream of my kisses." He said and embraced her tightly
She was right. He was feeling awful. Earlier, when he was feeding her, he badly wanted to collapse but he refrained himself. He really didn't want her to know that he was sick. That's why he was alarmed when she was about to check his forehead. He knows she was just joking so she wouldn't really do it. But when her hand touch his forehead, he panicked.
But when he requested her to do aegyo and she relunctantly complied, he felt lighter. And now, he almost felt alright. Somehow, he was thankful he lied. If he didn't, then he wouldn't enjoy this piece of heaven.
He sighed then looked at her as she was in her peaceful slumber. 'I'm really worried for myself. I'm slowly getting addicted to you princess.' He said to himself then kissed her lips again.
