Fortune Cookie
Things Happen for a Reason
"Chung Ae" a familiar voice called. I don't know exactly where I am, but I looked everywhere around me to find that voice. "Chung Ae!" He called again. Was it Jung Hee? I finally saw him, but I couldn't be sure that it really was him. He was running towards me. I started walking towards him then walked a little faster. "Jung Hee?" I called out. "Chung Ae!" He said one more time. As I got closer to him, I still wasn't able to see his face. All of a sudden, his arms were already wrapped around me. I could smell his sweet scent as I laid my head against his chest. I realized that I didn't even look at him yet. "I missed you." He whispered. "I missed you, too" I whispered back as I slowly looked up at him. It wasn't Jung Hee though.
I quickly woke up feeling my heart racing. It wasn't Jung Hee. It was Seungri. My arm was wrapped around my stuffed Panda, while laying on my side, looking towards my door. That was crazy. It's already been a few days since the concert and my mind is still stuck on my thoughts about Seungri even when I wasn't awake. I checked my phone and saw that I got a missed call from Soo Min. I dialed her number.
"Yeboseyo? (hello?)" Soo Min said.
"Hey, sorry that I missed your call. I was still asleep." I told her.
"No worries, Chae! I just really had to tell you something!" She exclaimed.
"Was it really that important to call me so early in the morning?"
"Chae! You'll be just as happy as I was when I read about this."
"Umm..okay? What is it?"
"Well, I was looking at the recent news on Big Bang's concert to see how well they thought it went. I mean, of course they say it has got to be one of their best concerts yet, but there was also some stuff that Seungri said that was added to it."
"Okay? Keep going..."
"He mentioned something about "She made me feel different. I hadn't felt that way in a long time," but they didn't put anymore details about it."
"This pertains to me how?"
"CHAE! Put the puzzle pieces together! I think Seungri's got you on his mind."
"Don't you think that could have been like one of 2ne1's members...or Girl's Generation? They probably went to their big concert, too for support."
"Can you stop avoiding that this probably involves you?"
"Aiish, Soo Min. You're always full of imagination."
"Ya~! Chae, I'm being serious this time!"
"Chae! Come downstairs and eat!" my mom called from downstairs.
"We'll talk later, my mom's calling me." I said.
"Alright, i'm calling you later. Call Jung Hee, too."
"Will do" I said as I hung up the phone.
I walked downstairs smelling the food my mom had brought in. I saw a fortune cookie that came with the take out and quickly went for it.
"FORTUNE COOKIE!" I cheered!
"Ah, eat first!" My mom snatched the fortune cookie from my hand.
"You're not fun" I pouted.
"Aiiish, how old are you to be acting like that?" She asked. She smiled at me and put the fortune cookie in front of me.
"Really? Now you're going to tease me by putting the fortune cookie right in front of me?"
"You can eat it. Promise me you'll eat right after."
"I don't have to promise because you should know i'll eat." I joked as I quickly opened the fortune cookie. I ate the cookie then looked at my fortune. It said:
A pleasant surprise is waiting for you.
I haven't come to a fortune that has come true, but I tend not to believe in this kind of stuff. I'm quite stuck to the belief that anything can happen and that a simple mesage inside a cookie can't tell my future. I enjoy reading them and of course enjoy eating the fortune cookies. I keep all my fortunes in this mini take out box in my room and so, this is just another fortune that'll be added to my collection. Although it's just another fortune...sometimes I wish one day, one will actually come true.
