7. Tight hugs

I believe that tight hugs are a reason to live because hugs make people feel better and secured and safe. And just happy. That moment when someone - whether it be a stranger or someone you know - holds you, and your bodies are pressed together, don't you just feel secured? Maybe heaven has that but right now, right here, this is a reason to stay. A reason to live.

They exited the restaurant an hour later, full and satisfied with what they had eaten. Myungsoo smiled as he rubbed his belly in a circular motion. “Thank you for treating, Suzy,” he said as he turned to her.

Suzy smiled, cheeks turning a shade of red and replied a shy you’re welcome. Today was turning out to be a pretty good day. The weather was at its best, not too hot and not too cold, simply just right. And somehow it felt like today, the world wasn’t against her.

They began to walk ahead, unknowingly turning left and right, crossing the streets in comfortable silence. Neither turned to ask where they were heading. Instead, they smiled, taking in the beauty behind every single thing; every single person.

 “Let’s go there—” Myungsoo paused. “Why are you crying?” He asked concerned.

Suzy hadn’t noticed that she was crying so hard. They came to a halt in front of a flower shop. “No, it’s nothing…” she said softly, wiping away the tears. “I’m just… I’m happy today.”

Myungsoo smiled softly, “Oh, Suzy…” he said as he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in for a tight hug. “Oh, you precious thing.”

Suzy cried more, wrapping her arms around him, too.

And in front of stranger’s passing through, he left her. “You know Suzy; tight hugs are a reason to live, too.”

She gripped on his shirt as a sign that she was listening.

He chuckled softly, “it just is.”

I apologize for not updating this story for ages but personal life was being hell and I didn’t want to write positive things when in reality I was filled with negativity. Hence, I went on a hiatus.
