Alright, Valentine's Day is usually celebrated in the United States of America... not many people knew of it or something, but it was mainly through commercialization that it grew to be quite popular. Anyways, besides America, other places have their own and do things in their own way. I knew some celebrated, but others I wasn't aware of because I assumed it was majorly a holiday celebrated in the USA, because it was a made up holiday for companies to sell their items at a higher price and blah blah. Anywho... other places that celebrate it... get ready to know about it! If you are from one of these countries or do know more about it, inform me! I'm just reading what I'm reading from what seems like a legit site. LOL
In France, V-Day was originated during the middle ages. It was due to birds mating halfway through the second month and lovers believed this to be a good sign... of well, I guess love. XD So letter exchanging began and so this cherished holiday was born.
In Japan, females would make specific choclates to give to their lovers, which were homemade. If it was just to friends or a guy they consider a good friend or something, but not a lover, would end up getting store bought chocolate. A homemade chocolate was considered special as it was made out of love. hehe. I knew this one already. Anyways, Valent
