Hehe, so Mr. Cupid is the Roman god that we associate with Valentine's Day. He was earlier depicted as a slender, young male youth with wings, but over the years he has become more iconic as the young and winged chubby baby we know as of today. His bow and arrows are his distinguished features about him. If you are hit with one of Cupid's arrows, then you are lucky enough to feel an immense desire that is uncontrollable. Maybe that is why love is just a little crazzy thing. The Greek counterpart of Cupid is Eros. He is the Greek god of Passionate Love and Attraction. Haha, not much difference there is it? But I guess it's just easier to just say Cupid as it sounds nicer than Eros, you think? I think so. LOL, because if I heard Eros instead, I just think of ... but still... also the same. XD Anyways, what do you think about Love being symbolized by a chubby, winged baby? Is it weird? Or is it not, now that you know where Cupid is derived from? Anyhow... I don't mind a little child being the symbol of love as I think of it as an innocence kind of thing... and usually love starts out innocent, doesn't it? Well, I don't know about you, but for me I think so. =]
