I didn’t know that I would welcome my Monday morning running for my life like my is on fire. I was clutching my best friends hand away from school grounds. And clearly we were both in trouble for me cutting class and the one chasing us will obviously kill me when we see each other again.

Just in time, a bus pulled on the corner of the University. It was a close call but we made it except for the girl we left behind. I. AM. SO. SCREWED.

Regardless, “I missed you oppa!!!!” I hugged the guy who just arrived from London and went straight on the doors of my first class.

He hugged me back beaming, “I’m scared though. Jiyong wouldn’t like this if he learned I had his girl chasing us” Though he’s not the only one. I’m scared too when we get back. Dara will surely have my head on a platter for pulling off something like this early morning.

“Nah, you will survive” I grinned at him as he reached for my hand and interlaced it. Xin-oppa is back!

“Well, where are we going now?”

“I believe you have some explaining to do for postponing your trip home. And you owe me a nice meal because you love me.” I squeezed his hand still not believing he’s finally here!

“That looks like a plan. Take your pick.” And I would. I picked one of the fanciest coffee shops in Gangnam. They have the sickest Belgian waffle and chocolate mousse. Latte art is also their specialty and I know Xin would very much likely to try it, the best fashion and art dude I have ever known.

And I’m certainly not dressed for the place. But who cares?

I missed him a lot. Being with Xin was always a fun occasion just like old times. We were seated in no time catching up on the last whole year he was away to study in London. Our orders arrived. We started enjoying the meal.

“My princess…”

I choked on my drink as I glanced up. I coughed and coughed that Xin started my back.

“Who’s he?” Seungri sat at the opposite side of the booth addressing Xin with a disgusted look. He looked like someone betrayed him and clearly it was me.

“It’s none of your business Seungri”

Xin cleared his throat. He offered his hand, “I’m Yang Seungho but you can call me Xin”

Seungri ignored Xin instead directed another outrageous question at me, “Why are you with him? Are you cheating on me?”

“Is he your boyfriend Chaelin?” Xin gasped.

“Yes…” “NO” We replied at the same time. Xin chuckled.

“What? How..? Where did you get that idea?” I turned to Xin, “Seriously oppa, he’s not my boyfriend. He is just an acquaintance.”

“Dude, can we switch places?” Seungri asked with an annoyed look on his face..

“Uhmmmm….. Sure” Xin rubbed the back of his neck clearly amused on the situation that was unfolding before his eyes. I tugged him. He patted my head before standing up to switch place with Seungri.

“Well this is a first. I never met anyone that Chaelin dated.”

My eyes went huge. This is not what I plan the day would go. Dara’s already preparing my grave. I’m sure of it. And Seungri meeting Xin is not the best price to pay for it.

“He’s not my boyfriend, oppa. Why don’t you believe me?” I turned to Seungri, “And why are you here? You weren’t even invited to seat with us in the first place.”

“I live just around the corner. I always have my breakfast here. I didn’t expect seeing you here cheating on my back.” Seungri was starting to raise his voice.

Xin stood up, “I think you two needed to sort this out. I’ll just call you tonight, Chaerin”

“NO! SIT!” I raged. He raised both hands as if to surrender.

“Who told you we were anywhere near dating?” I matched the tone of his voice.

Seungri started ticking off with his finger, “One, we went out last weekend. Two, we bought our first couple shirt” Xin snorted while I glared at him. “And lastly, your father approves of me. That covers it all up. We are dating.” Seungri reached for my hand which I brushed away.

“You already met Sir Lee? Oh, this is interesting…” Xin leaned back on his seat watching us.

“GO AWAY!” I raked my hair in frustration. My god, why won’t he leave me alone?

Seungri scooted more forward. I moved behind me plastering myself on the wall, “Not until you explain me who this guy is.”

“ OFF!” I’m slowly losing my hair from mentally pulling it in all directions.

“Filter, Chaerin.” Xin reprimanded, “Don’t worry dude I’m just her friend. We haven’t seen each other for a long time. I’m just taking her out, catching up.”

“Can we go now? I’m not hungry anymore.” I said.

“Where are you going?” Seungri asked.

“None of your business” I started pushing him off the seat so I can leave. He might pry more and spat unwelcomed comments. I glared at Xin warning him not to answer but he’s also such a prick. “I’m taking her to movies.”

“I like movies.” Seungri said with a sad tone.

“Good for you. Let’s go Xin.” I grabbed Xin’s arm.

Seungri cut in front of me when I started to walk away. He stood with the most pitiful look I had ever seen from a guy. He was like a lost puppy. I stopped myself from smiling. He just looked adorable. Instead, I sigh, “What?”

“Can I tag along?” He asked hopeful.

I sigh again. Xin grinned at me then threw an arm around Seungri, “Come on!”

How did this day turned out like this? After demonstrating World War II in front of the movie house cashier, we were finally seated waiting for the movie to start with me between the two. Seungri just wouldn’t budge to watch another film and firm on one I would never dream of watching. To make the story short, he won the war. I sigh for the nth time.

I thought of last weekend. I remember Seungri confessed his lack of friends as he was still new to the city.  He picked to live alone than staying with his family and his new step mom. I was touched with his story until he attempted to kiss me! How did I not remember that?

I scowled at him to show that I was still mad. He glanced at my way and smiled. “I heard this is a great movie. Woooooooh!!!” Seungri threw some popcorn in front of him, the excitement clear on his eyes. The couple seated in front glared at him which he just shrugged off.

“You want some?” He turned to me. He was trying to feed me again. I brushed it off.

“This guy clearly likes you.” I heard Xin commented.

“The feeling isn’t mutual”

“I beg to disagree. It wouldn’t hurt you to start dating Chaerin.” He tapped my arm.

“It’s starting!!!” Seungri whispered to me. The lights started to dim. And I hoped for a normal movie viewing. Seungri got what he wanted; a horror movie that I would never ever think of watching because it’s stupid. But I was wrong.

The man is all sorts of contradictions! If we were almost kicked out a while ago I’m very sure if Seungri wouldn’t stop we will be banned forever. Who knew he’s a scaredy cat? Considering he was the one who suggested this movie.

He was gripping my right hand so tight that even I tried yanking it away so hard he won’t budge. He was shamelessly screaming and shrieking like a maniac. Not only that, he was spouting random words from Japanese, English and Korean. It was so brutal that I have to calm myself from time to time. I sometimes cover his eyes myself just to stop his screaming. Or sometimes his mouth, then he would bite my hand that I will scream myself.

The guy is a total idiot.

“That was fun!!!” The movie just ended. Seungri was bouncing up and down merrily.  He was still high from the movie. Seriously, scaring himself would put him on this mood? I shook my head, not understanding how it came to this. He was almost into tears a while ago!

I saw the other moviegoers close to us starting to move out but they were glaring at us. I can’t help myself from bowing and apologizing for OUR sake. If I would be on their shoes, I might have killed Seungri already.

“You call that fun, huh?!” I pushed him away. He was still bouncing happily. Idiot.

I turned around and found no Xin. Where did he go?

I looked for my phone to call him when I saw his message, “You two seems to be enjoying yourselves. I don’t want to disturb. I’ll call you tonight.” That !

“Where’s Xin?” Seungri asked.

“He took off”

“Eh?” He was confused at first. Then he grinned.

“THIS IS YOUR ENTIRE FAULT HE TOOK OFF! YOU WERE SO EMBARRASSING!” I glared at him. He just smiled cheekily at me that I almost laughed.

“Let’s go!” He offered his hand. I look at it. “I’ll feed you. It’s the least I can do for embarrassing you.” He grinned as he took my hand abruptly.

I guess a meal wouldn’t hurt… I hope so.
