Hijacking Her Heart
Description
She had a crooked smirk, that Tiffany, with crescent eyes that curved with each poisonous smile. Jessica knew that and so did Taeyeon, the mercenary who had strange connections with the lovely red-head, a complicated past of a combination of love, lust and betrayl, other-wordly experiences far more different than Jessica could ever begin to comprehend. They were similar in the way they spoke and the way their eyes captured you, but so incredibly different at the same time. The two were a pair of contradictions. It still mesmerized Jessica the way they could be so brutally honest yet dangerously deceitful, the way they spoke the same words with such intensity, expression and sincerity; such words she will never forget for as long as she breathes.
It's dangerous to mess with mercenaries. Even more dangerous when they are willing to do anything to achieve their goal. Ruthless pirates they are. Rulers of the underground society. A bunch Jessica's father had constantly reminded her to stay away from. But why is that when this mysterious, shadowy figure appears outside her train cabin, she can't help but be captivated by her beautiful, pearl blue eyes? And when she tries to steal her away, Jessica can't help but to wonder why. Why her father never spoke of mercenaries. Why he pitied them so greatly. Why she was always kept in confinement, in fear that she would be stolen.
But most of all, she wanted to know why this mercenary carried her so dearly, why she could sense such a burning radiance of warmth emitting from her. Entering this world of darkness, she had found all the answers to her questions, and after these years, her memory is slowly failing her. Jessica is certain she had given up on returning to this dark world.
But there's another thing she must learn.
Mercenaries do not die...
Nor do they forget.
Prologue
Those words constantly haunted her. Taeyeon refused to let her go. Those words she had said with those honest eyes, the sincerity in her tone, she wished she could forget. As much as she wished to forget, she was afraid of forgetting. The Taeyeon in her heart was changing- and it frightened her. With the passing of time, she began having trouble recalling her facial features and the sound of her voice. In her memory where Taeyeon was, now remain blank faces and an unfamiliar voice. It's terrifying to think how much she has forgotten in two short years. Time had been so cruel. She was certain Taeyeon too, like her, had slowly started to forget.
Her relationship with Taeyeon was unusual. She wanted to move on with her life but she didn't want to abandon her thoughts of Taeyeon, or let her go. She didn't understand the girl at all. She wished she could remember her again. That tough girl who had led the stray princess into her world, her gentle but guarded gaze, her soft voice, her burning passion and her undying desire to be free.
Perhaps now she is free.
She was naive to think that they could have been together, that everything would work out. The difference was too large yet she failed to see- or failed to recognise, to acknowledge the existence. She continued to live in that world she believed was there. Taeyeon, however, recognised it. Looking back now, much of Taeyeon's actions remained a mystery. Her words, her expressions, her voice and her thoughts made no sense to Jessica, she was so different, so difficult to understand. Again, unknowingly she had caused the person she treasured most such pain that infinite sorry's could not restore. What a dumb, ignorant girl she had been.
She would give away anything just to see her again, to know where she is, how she's doing, if she's okay...
The mysterious girl who remains engraved in her memory...
That Taeyeon who had unknowingly hijacked her heart.
