Fifty Won
PerfectFifty Won
In the end, it does matter...
A soft sigh fills the room. She was looking at him with an intense stare; her lips are apart, trying to voice out her thoughts but nothing is coming out. To be honest, she couldn’t remember of how much she went through her thoughts so that she could be prepared for that exact moment. Yet she fails. She fails to accept this.
The staring continues.
Time passes.
And then he moves.
“You are wasting our time, Yuri.” Minho shot a stern look at her, “Say it!”
She snorted. “It’s pretty hard, you know.”
He rolls his eyes out of irritation.
“Oh come on. Admit that you lose. You didn’t trust me when I told you that I’m going to marry you on our first date.” He grins, “And tonight is our wedding night and we’re not going to make out in this bed until you say you lose.”
Yuri crosses her arms at her new obsessively competitive husband. A sly smile nearly breaks into her lips but she determined to stay composed. After all, she does indeed lose to him. She didn’t expect to marry someone who is two years younger than her. It was against her principle. However, there’s something different about Choi Minho. His persistence, his determination and his craziness made her change her mind. It made her muttered the words “yes” and “I do” and before she knew it…she became Choi Yuri.
And that leads to the present moment.
“I don’t want to say it. It hurts my pride.” She complained.
His shoulder drops, “As if it does not hurt my pride when you said that you feel like you are dating a little brother on that day? You should at least give me credit for going against the odd for marrying you. I love you so much that it I’d become a laughing stock between my friends for daydreaming about this day even before I dated you. They said I’m crazy –”
“Well you are.”
His expression sunken and she couldn’t get enough of that. It was one of her favourite past time times – making him angry.
“Fine. Make a fun of me.” Frustrated, he swiftly slides inside the sheet. “I’m tired. I had a long day and my 6-hour-bride is not helping me at all. But I’m okay. I’m totally ‘fine’ with it.”
Minho rests it aside by pretending to be asleep. He switches off the lamp and turns to the other side to avoid her. Yuri laughs at the sight of it. Gently she walks to right side of the bed and lies down beside him. She wraps her arms around his waist and plants a chaste kiss on his bare shoulder.
“I lose. You win.” She breathed.
She could feel his smile from miles away. Subtly, he shifts towards her. His grin is unexceptionally annoying.
“You still need to give me those fifty won that we’d bet.”
She groans.
He bursts out laughing before he catches her angry lips for their first make-out kiss. Her smile eventually breaks through.
