Being a surgeon is hard I tell you. Starting of as you study for 10 years. You need to have the ability to work under pressure, to handle crises, to work on long hours continuously, to keep your concentration for extended periods of time and a fair amount of physical dexterity. You also need to like doing things with your hand, working with others and you like or love anatomy.

The upsides of it are; the ability to provide service and support to others, to save lives, you learn as you work, to have the opportunity to teach students and patients about medicine, having a high status of occupation and a high salary of course.

The downsides are; it's stressful, you have a great deal of responsibility, it's depressing when you cant help and many more that i wont elaborate because it might scare you away.

But hey, being a surgeon is great, you get to meet people, you can help those in need, you may find friends, and you can find love.
