Prologue

His Story
Never knowing his parents, Jaejoong Kim was raised in an orphanage where he was cared for, until a few days before his 9th birthday when the orphanage was shut down due to a large amount of money owed to a certain gang. The government placed him with two guardians. He was treated unfairly and unjust. Constantly abused, this once nice boy transformed into a harsh and ruthless teenager. On his 15th birthday he ran away, he couldnâ??t take it anymore. He ran into the streets of the city and found a place to stay. Unknowingly he was taken in by the same gang that shut down the orphanage he was raised in. He decided to stay in school, wanting to become someone, someone who could make a difference and not end up like the people around him. But at each school he attended, he was expelled.

Her Story
Jessica always lived in a home where she would be cared for. She was given everything but when her father died of cancer, their family lost a lot. Since the death of her father, Jessica Jung has had to take a lot of responsibility. Her mother had to work two jobs just to provide for the family. With a younger brother and an aging mother to care for, Jessica took on a life that she did not want. At school she strives to be the best so she can provide for her family, but pushing away her own dreams instead. Every year at school she would come up on top, even becoming class president. She was praised by her peers but they did not know the inner conflict inside her. She needed someone to talk to, someone who would listen and care for her like before. Every tear she shed drew her closer to finding happiness.
