Amber woke up early in the morning so to avoid being caught sharing in the same bed with Kris by the other EXO members. If they were being caught, she was sure that none of them would be as calm as how Luhan oppa reacted upon seeing the two of them in the bed. She was about to prepare their breakfast when she found that there were not much ingredients left in the refrigerator. Therefore, she left the dorm leaving both Luhan and Kris who were still catching their sleep alone.

In the room where Kris was sleeping, he was already awake since Amber got off the bed because his source of warmth had left him and he couldn’t sleep in anymore. He cuddled under the blanket and laid his back flat on the bed while he slowly opened up his eyes and stared at the ceiling. He smirked as he thought about how he cuddled onto Amber the whole of yesterday night.

Yes, he was wide-awake when he entered Amber’s room last night. It was so cold last night that he couldn’t help but to check on Amber and he found that she was sleeping really soundly in his room. Part of him was jealous that she could sleep so well, while he had to suffer the coldness and sleeping on a mattress. Therefore he got an evil thought of disturbing her sleep by acting blur and cuddled with her. He knew that he had the habit of searching for warmth and he told himself not to repeat it again after he had accidentally cuddled with Luhan few years back, but he decided to make use of this as an excuse.

The peach scent coming from her hair and the warmth was so comfortable that he almost fell asleep instantly. When he finally managed to fall deeply in sleep, some noise woke him up. He was annoyed and wanted to shut the person's mouth, but what he heard next was his name.

“Well, I was struggling at the dark alley trying to shout for help. It was midnight and Kris happened to walked past and basically, he saved me from those bad guys.”

He didn’t catch much of what Amber had said, but he definitely heard something like he saved her from bad guys.

*He actually saved her before?* Kris wanted to ask about it but stopped as he recognized Luhan’s voice.

“Why didn’t Kris recognize you?”

*Right, that was what he wanted to ask and why the hell Luhan was in his room?!*

“Well, I looked different now compared to then. I had long hair that time, but after that incident… I cut my hair short like a guy and even learned Taekwondo with the help with one of my father’s friend…”

*Incident… What incident?* Kris tried to recalled about saving a girl with long hair.

“Was that the reason why you like Kris?”

Luhan’s voice could be heard again and this question caught his full attention.

“That’s right! I know that even though, he is cold and sometimes, arrogant but he has a soft heart.”

He has a soft heart…

That was the words that struck him. Nobody would ever describe or associate him with soft heart. For he didn’t give a damn about anything that not relates to him. But, that was what Amber described him… he saved her from an incident that made her likes him. For some reason, he was happy to know that she still likes him after he had acted so cold towards her. But, why the hell did she act so uncomfortably with him?

The room became silent once again when Luhan got out of the room and Amber fell back to sleep. Kris opened up his eyes and stared at Amber who had her eyes closed and was facing him. Both of her hands were placed in front of her chest and she cuddled like a prawn. He automatically pulled her closer so that he could observe her closely and tried to recall about he saving her.

He searched back his memories thoroughly and finally managed to recall a few scenes about saving a girl few years back out of norm. He was walking past a dark alley and heard noises. He wanted to ignore it but was stopped by the whimpering that the girl had produced. It was a faint voice, ‘Save me’ which made him stopped and the next second he was already dragging the man in 40s that was trying to slap that girl and he landed a strong punch on his jaw.

That was almost like a gang fight and he was unable to defeat those people there that had outnumbered him, therefore, he quickly took the chance and escaped with the girl. The girl was in a mess; tears and dirt covered her face, some bruises here and there. Although he suffered bruises as well, it was still definitely better than her state. But, that girl didn’t act like normal girls who would cry for her sufferings, instead she handed him a handkerchief telling him to wipe off the blood on his lips and thank him for saving her life back then. What happened next was just vague and he couldn’t remember it further.

He looked at Amber and tried to put her face into the vague memory of the girl and found that she did looked like the girl he had saved. How could he had not realized?

“So, you are the one…” Kris stared onto the ceiling and then he got up of the bed and started pulling the drawers to search for the handkerchief. If he was not wrong, he didn’t throw that handkerchief away. He started ransacking the place for the item when someone opened up the door with a loud bang.

“AMBER!!! WE ARE BACK!!!!” The next second, a loud scream could be heard and Kris glared at the EXO-M’s members with his piercing eyes.

How could they just burst into the his/Amber’s room without permission? What if, Amber was changing or something?! They could have seen her body!

“Er… Duizhang, why are you in Amber’s room?” Chen raised his eyebrows while glancing at Kris from head to toe. Kris was wearing his pyjamas and looked like he just got up. He glanced his watch and realized that their duizhang woke up way too early!

“Kris! I didn’t know you had this in you! Are you trying to attack on our Amber! You ert, how could you attack our pure, innocent Amber?!” Xiumin stared at their duizhang with round eyes and covered his mouth in shock.

“Excuse me, did you see Amber lying on the bed?” Kris folded his arm and rolled his eyes.

“Oh…”

“But, where is Amber noona? She is not in the living room or in the kitchen…” Tao frowned as he tilted his head pouting.

“She went out.” Lay stepped into the room with a small note in his hand and showed it to the others.

“Ahh… our assistant is so hardworking. She is already awake to get our breakfast done…” Chen said.

“Hey guys! Why are you all crowding in front of the room?” Amber who just came back from the supermarket appeared right behind them and asked while her head tilted sideways to see what they are doing.

“Oh gosh! Amber… please don’t scare us early in the morning! When did you came back?!” Chen started patting on his chest after realizing Amber was right behind him.

“You guys are crowding in front of the room…” Oh wait, Kris was still sleeping in the room! Did they…

Amber quickly pushed herself into the room and found Kris standing right in front of them folding his arms.

“K-Kris… You are awake? That’s… that’s early…” Amber bit her bottom lips and blushed almost immediately after thinking back on how the two of them shared the bed together last night.

Kris was staring at her as well but quickly turned away.

“Noona, are you having fever? Your face is damn red.” Tao asked.

“Er… er… nothing…”

Lay who was leaning against the doorframe raised an eyebrow and looked at both Kris and Amber.

*There must be something happened between them last night…*

“What happening in here?” Luhan’s blurred voice could be heard which practically broke the awkward moment.

“Oh, hey! Luhan oppa, you woke up in the right time, let’s prepare breakfast together!” Amber jumped in relieved as she quickly dragged Luhan away to the kitchen.

“Wow, this two… they are really close to each other. I wondered whether Amber noona had changed her ideal type to Luhan hyung instead.” Tao made a statement, which made the other nod their heads.

“Now, the greetings had ended, will you guys leave the place?” Kris couldn’t help but felt jealous when Amber took Luhan’s hand and dragged him away. How could she be so close to Luhan when she said that she likes him?

“Oh-oh… I had this feeling our duizhang is in a bad mood now…” Xiumin pursed his lips and dragged the others out of the room. But, Lay decided to enter the room. He waited for the others to disperse and then went forward to Kris.

“You like Amber.” That was what Lay said and it effectively made Kris stiffened.

“What are you talking about?”

“Think about it, hyung… If not, you would regret for being so dense.” Lay patted Kris shoulder and gave a small smile before walking out of the room leaving Kris alone.
