It was recess and it was a relief the fact that Ji Min never sit with you guys during lunch break anymore since she’ll be hanging out with her friends.

“We’re glad to see you being all happy again Hyo Ri.” Chen grins at you

“Of course! There’s no reason to be sad all the time.” you laugh

“That’s right! Enjoy our life when we’re still living it!” Xiumin puts up his bottle in the air as if he was doing a toast and drank it and all of you laughed except for Kris

“Kris, eat up, the food is getting cold.” Lay nudges Kris

“Uh? Yeah.” he mumbled and took a small bite of his noodle

“So, Kris, planning to do anything after school?” you beam at him

“No, why?” he raises a brow; looking a little irritated

“Gosh, relax, I was just wondering if you wanna go to Starbucks that just opened up; I heard the place is big and customer-friendly.” you said; not trying to let his attitude get to you

“Are you busy again?” Seul Mi shot him a look

“What do you mean ‘again’?” Kris frowns

“If you can’t go, it’s okay, I’ll go there by myself then.” you assure him

“I’ll go.” he mumbled

“I said I’ll go, stop being so worried about it.” he rolls his eyes but this time; he’s annoyed

“If there’s nothing else, I would like to leave.” he takes his almost-untouched food and threw it away while leaving the cafeteria

“Don’t take it too seriously you know.” Tao looks at you

“I’m not, I’m used to it now, don’t worry about it.” you smiled

“He has quite a temper lately.” Min Jung pointed out

“Yeah, I don’t think guys do periods.” Seul Mi blurted

The last bell rang and everyone started to go back home. You waved goodbye to Seul Mi and Min Jung; you walked towards the school’s parking lot and found Kris leaning against his car while fiddling with his phone.
