“Hyunjae! Can’t you move faster !?”

I sighed.

He’s at it again. Always angry at me and cold.

When he moved here, I can see he really hated it.

His parents are really kind but he’s the total opposite.

They said that they we’re from Seoul.

I think he hates being in a province.

I quickly ran towards him before he gets angrier at me.

Actually, I liked him ever since he moved here.

He was really handsome but really cold and mysterious.

We are now here helping the old folks in our village.

I love helping old people. I don’t want to see them suffer since their bodies are weak already.

Oh. By the way, I’m Kim Hyunjae. My Appa died when I was 5 yrs. Old due to cancer.

It was sad but I restrained myself from being depressed since I promised myself since then that I will take care of mom and Jaejoong, my brother.

“Lee Byung Hun! Why don’t you help me carry these piles of water!? It’s heavy!” I complained and he gave me a death glare.

“What did you just call me?” he said as he walked towards me while giving me a death glare.

I put down the gallon of water I was carrying and walked backwards.

“I-I d-didn’t call you Lee Byung Hun!” I defended and slapped my mouth.

‘Babo’ I thought.

“You” he was one step close to me and I ran.

We we’re chasing each other in the farm like children.

He caught me and we tickled fight.

I didn’t notice that he was on top of me.

And he was also laughing. It’s the first time I saw him having fun.

We stopped and stared at each other for 2 minutes.

My heart was going to burst and the atmosphere was kind of weird.

It’s like I wanted to kiss him suddenly.

Until my stupid brother came.

“EHEM!” Jaejoong faked a cough and we realized what we looked like.

L. Joe stood up and he.. a gentleman offered his hand and I accepted it.

Lee Byung Hun.. Err. I mean L. Joe really hates it if someone calls him by his real name.

I don’t know why though.

“Uh. Hyunjae. Wanna go with me later at the festival? Since, Er. I don’t have anyone to come with” he asked.

YES! YES! YES! Oh my god. Did he just asked me out tonight?!

I just stood there frozen.

“If you don’t want to. Then, DON’T!” he said and did a mehrong.

“Yah! Did I say that I won’t come?” I yelled.

“So.. Will you go?” he asked and I nodded.

“Okay. Let’s meet here later” he said and smiled.

When I saw his existence getting farther and farther away from where I’m standing.

I jumped up and down. And smiled widely.

“Yah. You’re freaking the other people out” Jaejoong said and I just rolled my eyes.

I ran to the house and searched my closet for what to wear tonight.

Ooohhh! This looks good!

I’m really excited since L. Joe freaking asked me tonight for the first time! Kyyaaaaaaaa!!!

DING DONG

“Hey Jaejoong. Is Hyunjae ready?” I heard L. Joe and I ran to the door.

“Yeah. I’m ready” he was looking at the ground and when he heard me he looked up.

His face looked surprised.

“Umm. Is it weird?” I asked.

“Huh? Uh. No. You look… PRETTY” he whispered the word pretty but I still heard it.

I giggled to myself. L. Joe thinks I’m pretty! Yey!

We played games at the festival and we really had so much fun.

After a few hours we walked to the lake to wait for the fireworks.

“So, why did you ask me out tonight?” I asked full of curiosity.

He looked at me and smiled.

His smile was forced. I just know it.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“Well, I want you to know that.. I’ll be moving back to Seoul since I got accepted to Seoul University” he said.

I was just staring at him and my heart felt like it shattered like a glass.

“W-why? Why can’t y-you just stay?” I asked.

I felt in my eyes that tears were building up.

And it fell, I was crying..

He didn’t notice since he was looking at the sky.

 “I don’t have a reason to stay here. Besides, you know me, I really want to go back to Seoul” he said and smiled.

“B-but.. I-I love you” I said and he immediately looked at me with a shocked face.

“I---“ before he could say anything I ran away.

I know what he'll say.. He'll just reject me and I dont want to hear it!

I left him there. I ran and ran until I tripped.

The fireworks began since I was alone in the road and it was noisy.

I sobbed.

“W-wait! Hyunjae!” he chased me and he was panting.

He sat beside me and hugged me.

“Now, I have a reason to stay. I loved you for a long time now”
