Beep, beep, beep

Yay, work time

I reached over and turned off the alarm. Even though I live in a big house, with big money. I LOVE to go to work.  Well, because each day brings new surprises, new challenges and well, something new...

Once I got to work, something was different

“Hey, what’s up?” I asked Krystal

“I don’t know I just got here” she replied. Everybody was surrounding a guy, I don’t know if he was part devil or part angel. He had looks of an angel, but the way he stood and his facial expression. I was pretty sure he was going to attack someone with his horns.

“Who’s he?” I asked Lu Han,

“Kris, the boss hired him this morning” he replied.

“He looks like giraffe, because he’s so tall, maybe he’ll have a blue tongue.”

I heard Lu Han laugh, but that was the only thing I heard. Everybody else was staring at me.

“Excuse Me” he began

“You’re excused, but I don’t really care. My name is Amber if that was the next question you were going to ask” I said really fast. He just frowned

“Is that all you can do frown?” I asked

“Did you know it takes more muscles to frown than to smile?”  His frown went deeper.

“Oh, you forgot how to smile” I said

“WHAT!” he replied?

“I said that you’ve forgotten how to smile, have you forgotten how to listen too.” I answered. He just stared at me like if I was an alien from a different planet.

“Kay, step 1 fist stop frowning, step 2 show teeth and last but not least step 3 cheeses.” I said, but he stayed the same.

“I think you need a bit of practise” I said to him then I turned around to everybody else

“Next time, I’m going to teach him...” I pointed to Kris

“How to listen” I smiled

“You can thank me later,” I said then walking away. The rest of the day went pretty smoothly. But Kris kept shooting me glares every now and then.

Once I got home I saw the light in the house . That’s funny. I turned the knob to my house. Open, why is my door open. I walked up to my room, to find…

“Victoria, how did you get my house?” I asked. She raised the spare key that I usually keep in the pot plant next to the door. Note to self, change hiding spot.

“Even if you change the spot I’ll still be able to find it.” Victoria said

I rolled my eyes, picked up the black note book I kept, took the key that keeps it locked of my neck and wrote

Hello God,

It’s me Amber, as you know, everything is fine. Can you please teach Kris how to smile? Hope you keep sending me surprises and more days

“Why do you always write in that book” Victoria asked

“None of your bees wax” I said kicking her off my bed.” Popcorn went flying everywhere.

“Now clean it up.” I said

“I’m not your maid you clean it” she replied. We both knew that we wouldn’t clean it. I shook my head.

“You are never allowed to eat in my room again” I said throwing popcorn at her.
