There's Nothing But Her Freezing Fireplace
Pieces of a Shattered Heart
It's nothing.
There's nothing.
Everything is so cold the fireplace's freezing,
but why does the pain in her heart, burning?
Everything is so dark the room's blackening,
But why does the tears in her eyes, blinding?
Everything is so quiet the radio's deadening,
But why does the noise in her ears, deafening?
Everything is so sour the lemon tea's biting,
but why does the imaginary sweetness in her taste buds, cloying?
Everything is so rotten the remaining's reeking,
But why does the scent in the air left her longing?
Everything is so harsh, on her skin they're unrelenting,
But why doesn't the tenderness in her illusion crushing?
Everything is so frustrating her head's throbbing,
But why does her mind calmly bows, accepting?
Everything is so saddening even the clouds would be crying,
