Trying a Villanelle form...though towards the end it doesn't feel neatly fitting, but i personally think this is one of my personal best so far? as far as poetic value and depths go...whatever...trying new form of poetry type i haven't try is fun. i can't think of a good title now, but if i can find one, i'll change it...maybe?
Shall we dance now, my soul?
To this mournful silence, two can sway,
Or shall we go deeper down this hole?
My passion is a piece of burnt coal,
The melody so morbid, it paints me gray,
Shall we dance now, my soul?
My mind, running towards no goal,
Show me the dance floor, and lead me astray,
Or shall we go deeper down this hole?
My spirit is quickly becoming an emptied bowl,
Before the remaining morsels of our touch decay,
Shall we dance now, my soul?
My faith is dying, no words can console,
But even when the muted tune cease, can you not stay?
Or shall we go deeper down this hole?
For my heart is no longer a whole,
To hear your answer, is all I pray,
Shall we dance now, my soul?
Or shall we go deeper down this hole?
