Love, that’s what they call it. That simple four-letter word, short yet it triggers an unbelievably array of emotions. From happiness to sadness, from smiles to tears, from those sweet I love you’s to bitter I hate you’s. Love would make you feel every piece of emotion that exists. No matter how much we try, no matter how much we prevent, we will always feel that pain, heartache and misery when loving someone. Just like what Neil Gaiman said, “Love is horrible. It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armour, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain” but despite of all the pain that love brings in our life, we should not stop ourselves from falling in love, from taking the risk of getting hurt because it’ll all worth it at the end for we will surely get our own happy ending.
